🌱 We’re excited to share something new unfolding at High Valley Dawn…
We’ve been awarded funding through the Queensland Government’s Engaging Science Grants to bring a new project to life:
"Soil Stories: Connecting Science, Culture and Community."
This project is about making the invisible world beneath our feet visible again — from the microbes in the soil, to the cycles that sustain life, to the deep cultural knowledge that has understood these systems for generations.
Over the coming months, we’ll be creating a Living Science Playground here on the farm, including:
🔬 hands-on science experiences
🌿 interpretive signage and interactive games about soil critters
🎧 enhancing our QR-coded plant tours with Indigenous wisdom
We’ll also be welcoming schools, families, and the wider community to engage with science in a way that’s tactile, meaningful, and grounded in place.
If you’re a teacher, parent, or simply curious about the living world beneath your feet, we’d love to have you involved.
