Yesterdays training session with MELON, we are working on separation Anxiety & obedience with this girl. Yesterday was our first trip to Bunnings so we thought what better way to start off with a bath and then some basic commands on sit and wait as she likes to zoom out those doors when they open after a bath. Few laps around Petbarn and we were heading back home to her Family for another week.
Melons achievements so far at home have been
Sit, wait on placement training and seperate from trainer whilst remaining in her sit for a 15 metre recall back, we will aim to achieve this under full distractions in shops and parks now.

Todays Lesson with Melon.
In 1 hour we had Sit, Wait, heel and recalling working well for us with nothing but praise.
By the end of our 1 hour session Melon managed a 60 second wait placement before being let off the lead to go and enjoy the rest of her day.
From a dog that had never undergone any professional training she shocked not only me but her Owners as well. Next week we work on a longer recall and wait placement I think by the end of the month she will be one very happy off lead obedient cavoodle.

Welcome to Train-A-Pooch, this is our first time at going public for the last 4 years I have studied Puppy Preschool, Dog Behaviour, obedience, master the techniques of Crate Training and Pet Nutrition.
I will be Running classes around my Work Schedules to help Assist those who are finding it hard to secure a spot in puppy preschool due to their own Work Commitments.
Currently I’m looking at securing a ground to do these classes in but in the meantime we will be looking at different locations locally to also help desensitise puppies along the way.
