Excited to announce our third and final expected litter for Travelers Charlie Brown - The Island Kelpie and the very first litter for our exciting new sire Barru Ghost II. This match brings a combination of calm but strong cattle lines, with a lot of leg, endurance and strength on their stock. We are expecting Cream, red n tans and black and tans in the litter, due January 15th 2026. Charlie’s sire is an Elphinstine dog, and she is a silent worker on cattle with a strong bite when needed, and a big bark on her sheep!
Barru Ghost is a young dog, not yet 12 months old, he has a strong desire on sheep and shows lots of natural push, hold and a calm but strong attitude. We are looking forward to seeing the progeny! Expression of interest welcome, puppies will be available early March.

Wandabar Traveler (Gherkin) just doing his thing. Blind cast into a 100acre pdk with no sheep in sight, never having worked this property before.

We had a “helpful” person message us recently having a bit of a go, saying we are just breeding purebred kelpies not working dogs, and stating we are just working dogs in a training yard 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ which isn’t working! (I guess they’ve never seen a yard dog? 🐕 🤭) anyways, as there is ONE of me and videoing pdk mustering is usually a video of nothing as without a drone you can’t see the dog working, I rarely capture video footage as it doesn’t show much!

However… if it sets certain small minded opinionated people’s minds at rest… yeah they can blind cast and muster a pdk into bush ( buah over the hill) just fine 💁‍♀️

A few snapshots from the farm this past week, we celebrated two kids birthdays in Janet turning 20, and Riley 1! Of course, kelpie cupcakes 🧁 were the biggest hit! Biscuit 🍪 came to visit and was keen to catch up with baby sister Bee, 🐝 Rhyme learned a new party trick 🐾 and we had triplets born from Caramel who are all doing amazing! The grass is racing away with sunshine and spring days, and life is peaceful. ☺️

Travelers Charlie holding the flock steady whilst I tag kids…..

we are planning a final breeding from Charlie this coming season, x our cream stud “Barru Ghost II” (his first litter) expressions of interest welcome….. these pups are purpose bred for paddock and cattle but will suit sheep. Silent with bite. Colours Should be Reds, creams and blacks with tan.

As always, our puppies 🐶 are WKC registered, vet checked , microchipped , vaccinated, wormed every 2 weeks from birth, and are raised on Blackhawk puppy and raw diets.

We fly puppies Australia 🇦🇺 wide!

Was a good day in the pen with the pups today, Bee is really starting to nail her sit and lie down on stock and her sister Rhyme has a lovely free flowing calm style on her sheep, young Ghost showed us a good instinct to hold the fresh flighty lambs together and not be tempted to chase one flighty one around, and Passion got the mob in hand for the pups to practice on! We will have a lovely leggy pdk type bitch available in coming months….

Barru Ghost 👻 I have patiently waited for this lovely young dog to mature a bit more and balance up on his big legs and paws (now 10 months old) . Not pressuring him early and letting his mind and body mature. Today he had his 3rd ever look at sheep… I gave him 2 minutes of time on them today, and gosh he showed me a lot of nice things in that 2 minutes! I’m very excited to start his journey a little more seriously now, and I can’t wait to see how he develops!
