I get asked this so much. Perfectly explained 🫶
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐄𝐌𝐅 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞?
This is a question you might be wondering - and the answer depends on your horses;
🔅Overall health
🔅Workload
🔅Outlook and of course
🔅Availability!
How often do you get your farrier out?
Why?
For maintenance! The hoof keeps growing and it has an effect on the rest of the body, so to avoid potential issues you keep a regular trim schedule.
PEMF is the same, your horse is an athlete and maintenance sessions help to avoid potential issues. PEMF sessions are cumulative - each builds on the previous when done regularly.
🪫 If on a cellular level the body is fairly compromised it will use the energy provided faster than usual. There are many factors that affect cell health, and some of the things we need to consider are:
🔅age
🔅injury
🔅disease
🔅physical demands
🔅stressors
🔅illness etc
Cells are like tiny batteries powering the body, and like a battery they need a charge to operate. If these tiny batteries are ‘running flat’ then they will use the energy PEMF provides more quickly and need a ‘top up’ sooner.
🔋 How often do you charge your phone?
Probably every day - why? Because the more you use it the more the battery is depleted!
Cells work 24/7 to repair and support the bodies systems, and when they stop functioning efficiently we see things like slow healing, inflammation, and generally not doing so well.
So - 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧?
PEMF is best used on a regular basis* for maintenance - before any issues present! “Prevention is better than a cure.”
*How regular? Yes - That is the question 😊
If your horse has never had PEMF before, try to schedule the first 2-3 sessions within 2-3 weeks if it’s possible.
If distance makes this difficult, visits to your area will generally be on a monthly basis, which is also a good maintenance schedule.
Get in touch to discuss your horses needs and book your first session. Places fill fast for travel areas so book ahead for the next visit to your area today.
Just remember - PEMF is not a one off quick fix or a fad. You may see amazing results in one session alone but that is just the tip of the cellular iceberg. Generally it takes several sessions to see lasting benefits. A good diet and hydration are also essential.
