These clinics focus on the 12 essential steps we use in all our training. If you and your horse are not yet confident with these steps, you will both greatly benefit from attending:

• Beside Me – Building connection, partnership, and trust; understanding one another’s expectations.

• Clarity – Conscious, clear contact.
• Partnership – Don’t walk alone.
• Timing – Understanding pressure, release, and knowing when to let go.
• Control – Slow down, speed up—it’s all in the feet.
• Courage – Approach with curiosity, not contempt, before investigation.
• Inspiration – Staying present in the moment and the movement.
Our clinics are designed to strengthen the partnership between you and your horse, creating confidence, clarity, and true leadership.

About Bella Cavallo
My name is Vanessa Hartley, and I am the founder of Bella Cavallo—meaning beautiful horse. I have spent over 40 years working alongside horses, learning to truly understand them. I have studied Equus, the silent language of the horse, and dedicated much of my career to helping horses “speak better human,” specialising in remedial and problem horses.
In my day-to-day work, I am fortunate to collaborate with a wonderful team of kind, people-friendly horses. My goal is to make the world a better place for our equine friends. Using simple, clear tools, every horse can feel safer, more understood, and less confused. This isn’t about my way versus your way—it’s about practical, easy-to-learn guidance that is simple to implement and easy to remember.
Whether you bring a well-educated horse, a paddock pony, or choose to work with one of ours, you are warmly welcome. If you love horses, feel drawn to them, or simply want to learn more, we invite you to join one of our clinics—or book a private session with a group of friends.

So special for a generational Kangaroo Valley lad to be part of the show he has gone to for decades. He rode like a champ and I am very proud of my Horses.

Yesterday, the Bella Cavallo team proudly attended the Kangaroo Valley Show with one of our regular NDIS riders.

Vanessa, Dreamy and Trooper helped make one of Nick’s goals come true, riding in the Grand Parade at his local show. 🌟

The horses were absolutely amazing, and Nick loved every single minute of the experience. It was such a special day to watch his excitement and see the pure joy on his face as he rode in the parade.

Moments like these are why we do what we do.

Well done, team — and well done, Nick! 💙🐴

Thanks to all the wonderful people who support us. You riding with us helps us to keep the horses fed and all the other expenses that go with keeping horses.
I often tell riders that if you don’t ride more than once per week its cheaper to ride with us once a week than own your own horse.

Our January trail rides are filling fast!
We are running 2-hour trail rides every Saturday in January at 10:00am.

These rides are suitable for all levels of riders, including beginners. Our trail rides are leisurely and relaxed, designed to be enjoyed at a comfortable pace while taking in the scenery.
