Gratitude Post & Pet Sitter Recommendation 🐶💛🐾

I want to give a massive shoutout and heartfelt thank you to the amazing Kate, at Kate’s Doggy Daycare , who looked after my Cavoodle Baron recently while I was away. Some of you may recall, I had put out a last-minute call for pet sitter recommendations on this page, for a 3-week stay; and from the very first phone call, I just knew I could trust Kate. She was warm, authentic, and instantly reassuring — it felt like speaking to someone who gets it.

Baron suffers from environmental allergies and medications, and he takes a number of supplements daily, so I’m usually on high alert when it comes to his care. But with Kate, I didn’t have to say things twice. She followed my instructions to the letter and treated him with such attentiveness and love, keeping me regularly updated throughout his stay. It was clear she wasn’t just ticking boxes — she was genuinely caring for him.

From her thoughtful updates to the way she spoke about him, I knew Baron was getting the same love and cuddles he usually gets from me — not just when he curled up to sleep, but throughout the day. Despite having several dogs in her care (including her own much-loved fur babies), she took the time to make sure Baron was reassured and comfortable. He stuck to her like Velcro 🥹 and when I picked him up, he wasn’t anxious at all. Just a little confused — because he’d clearly settled into a lovely routine with Kate as ‘his new person’, complete with new fur friends and lots of play - he looked at me and back at Kate a few times, before melting back into my arms.

I’ve tried a number of sitters over the last 2.5 years, and this is the first time Baron has come home truly balanced. No overstimulation, no undersleeping, no stress. Just content, well-adjusted and happy. Kate has that rare ability to find the right balance — and when she took the dogs out, she ensured they were always safe and supported (even bringing help if she had more than three pups with her). And yes — Baron got his fair share of pram time too 😂because although he loves to run, he definitely prefers a push to a leisurely stroll.

To anyone looking for someone special to care for their Cavoodle (or any sensitive pup), I highly recommend Kate. She gave me peace of mind during a time when I needed rest and healing, and even when I came back early, I kept Baron in her care — that’s how confident I felt in her hands. Thank you, Kate. You are a rare gem 🐶 💛🐾

My beautiful Rusty. Those who know us , know my Rusty is abit special and if dog or human is in his chair - he doesn’t know what to do with himself and wanders the house!
