🌟 Tooradin HT 2025 🌟
What a Fantastic weekend!!
After not having evented in years, it was a breath of fresh air to get back out and ride around doing what an always used to love doing years ago.
As some of you may already know, I have had a secret little project running in the background… Star Dreamer (Affectionately known as Urch) is a gorgeous 10yo WB x TB that I have been chipping away with over the past 18 months. Urch is one of the funniest most quirky horses I have ever worked with… whilst he sometimes gets on my nerves, he is so smart and always gives his whole hard in everything I ask of him. I am so greatful to be back out eventing again. So much love for this horse.
After a lovely dressage test, we were sitting 4th on 72.2%. We then had a lovely clear SJ round, moving us up to 3rd. XC on Sunday, with another clear round and under time! Out of a large competitive field of horses and riders, Urch and I managed to be one of only two combinations to finish on our dressage score!! Ending up placing us 2nd (only by 0.1!)
So, so proud of my boy 🥰
Thank you so much to my amazing Jump Coach Delwyn Ogilvy for all the hours of hard work, support and guidance you have put into Urch and I… I think they are finally starting to pay off 😉
Thank you also to my amazing dressage coach Peter Fischer (Ann-Katrin Fischer) also for all of your endless coaching, support and guidance in the sand pit… even if you keep trying to persuade me that Urch would be an amazing Dressage horse 🤣
A big thank you also goes to one of my best friends Marie Sofie Maron, for your amazing strapping skills, and never-ending support. Love you to the moon and back! 🥰
A huge thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers and event organisers for running another amazing event. None of this would be possible without you all!
And of course a big thank you to my amazing sponsors Cantaloup.com.au, Hi Form Australia PL and The Dancing Horse Shop. Thank you for all of your ongoing support and phenomenal products. I’m so grateful to be able to say I am part of your teams 🫶
And last but certainly not least! A big thank you to Abigail Hobbs for Urch. After working with him for a few weeks at your place, I was slowly starting to fall in love with his anoying little quirks and realised how much potential he had. I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring him home, and to work with him everyday chipping away at our goals. So thank you ❤️
