Learners on Lead Pet Dog Training is a locally owned and run dog training facility. We provide a safe and relaxed learning environment so both you and your dog can excel. 🐾 Meet Scooter – One of Dubbo Health Service’s Therapy Dog’s! 🐶✨

Since 2024, Shine & Scooter have been bringing comfort, calm and joy to patients, visitors and staff. The Pet Therapy Program was set up by our dedicated Social Work team in partnership with Learners on Lead, and was first made possible thanks to the generosity of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary.

With the continued kindness of local community members and businesses, the program has grown – but it still needs your help to keep shining bright. 💛

Dogs being dogs, free in a natural environment—it's one of the things I am most proud of at Learners on Lead.

What a spectacular morning with friends and dogs! We did some tracking in the bush in perfect conditions, and all the dogs and handlers were on fire.

After morning tea, we headed to our newly built Parkour play area. We are in awe of how well our dogs are taking on all the challenges we present to them.

I sometimes have to pinch myself to remember how fortunate we are to do what we do with our dogs in such an uninterrupted environment.

Thank you to all the teams for being such great training partners!

I had a busy morning with two private sessions: a little Border Collie that struggles with social skills and a lovely young GSD who has difficulty walking on a lead. We made some great progress with both dogs. There is always so much we can do to help dogs; we just have to take the time to learn how they see the world and provide them with clear guidance and support.

Since it was such a lovely afternoon, I relaxed and played with my girl. It’s always fun with this dog; she is so keen to learn and please!

Learners on Lead Dog Sports and Pet Dog Training is a locally owned and run dog training facility. We have been operation since 2006 and provide a safe and relaxed learning environment so both you and your dog can excel. Our classes focus on relationship and reward based training techniques, which create fast learning and a fun experience for all.

Courses: Puppy Pre-School - For puppies 10 to 16 weeks. A great way to start your puppies’ education.

Pet Dog Obedience - For dogs over 16 weeks. Max of 8 dogs per class to ensure you receive individual attention.

Social Obedience Class - This is a little bit of low key obedience and social dog play.
