Like her dad, Floss isn’t getting any younger (or skinnier) and benefits from chiropractic adjustments from time to time. Dr Nadine at Nervana Kalamunda, is her go to chiro when things get a bit tight and sore and she highly recommends her thorough approach and caring nature. Dr Nadine also treats horses and we see her from time to time at client’s properties. As a very accomplished rider she knows the musculoskeletal stresses placed on our equine athletes.

The astute among you may notice that we are using a new design of speculum now. The Capp’s Full Mouth Speculum uses friction rather than a ratcheting mechanism so that the speculum can be opened to exactly the right amount. It’s also thinner and gives great oral access. It also looks bloody sexy !!
I have also purchased the pony version for the smaller heads.

The severely thickened (hypercementosis) roots of these incisors have obliterated the maxillary bone. Big day of incisor extractions at Equine Services at The Animal Hospital, Murdoch University. The older the horse population gets, the more of these we will be doing until we find a cure.

Time for some “action”. A good friend and equestrian (and WA Randlab manager ) Rebecca is raising funds for a very well deserving cause. This is something close to my heart 1)it’s a kid and 2) watching someone with a severe spinal injury (when I supported a quad athlete in being the first ever Ironman Triathlon finisher in his category ) was truly life altering. Please dig deep and donate what you can and let’s get this young bloke back on the beach doing what he loves. 🙏.
