Transformation Friday!
Just look at the difference in Charlie 🙌

Charlie is a horse I received to sell for a client, although he was extremely loved by his previous owners; he had a hard winter..
so when I was contacted to bring Charlie back into work after not being ridden since the beginning of COVID and then find his forever home I knew that the first thing to do was build him back up to the horse the once was!

And after a month and a half of a good worming, a hard feed I swear by for those hard doers, endless amounts of forage and of course a great body worker( Equusential Therapies: Equine Massage, Saddle & Bit-Fitting ) and the correct riding. This is the result after just 6 weeks!!
He still has a long way to go, but with having some great clients, I have found him his forever loving home where he will continue to thrive and live the best life a horse can live!

Enjoying their daily morning nap, what do you think they were dreaming about? 😂💤

Everyone was tired after a days work of being brought back onto work after a good 6 weeks off! ✨

Watch this gelding go from impatient and anxious to calmly standing tied. The impact this had on his entire mindset was incomparable 🙌

Every horse that comes through my program learns to hard tie. I believe it’s one of the most valuable skills a horse can develop. When taught correctly, hard tying builds:

✨Patience – The more they fidget and pull, the more energy they burn… they soon realize they’re only fighting themselves and making life harder for themselves.

✨Confidence – Hard tying encourages horses to think for themselves. They learn that they can handle new environments, noises, and activity around them calmly and on their own.

✨Safety: Spooking is a natural reaction for horses—but with proper hard tie training, they learn that pulling back or panicking doesn’t solve anything. Instead of escalating into flight mode, they’re more likely to pause, think, and settle. This reduces the risk of them breaking free (especially from twine), bolting, and potentially injuring themselves or those around.

Now that’s just the beginning. The benefits of hard tying continue out into every other area of a horse’s training and handling. It’s a core foundation I believe every horse should have ⬇️⬇️

Watch this beautiful pony have a huge release after our session today! 😍

Jack came to me with a reputation-
labeled as “dangerous” and even said to “belong at the doggers.” But thankfully, his owner saw past the fear and gave him the chance he deserved.

I’ve seen dangerous horses, and Jack is not one of them. He’s simply been confused, overwhelmed, and lacking consistence for too long! What he needed most was clarity, patience, and a chance to trust again.

After a few weeks of building a solid foundation, today was the first time I sat on Jack and took him for a quiet walk under saddle. Yes, he started out tense and unsure — but within minutes, I could feel him soften and start to actually get curious about what was happening . As soon as he settled, I hopped off, removed his saddle right where we stood, and turned around, I was pleased to see tgud?

Jack has been holding so much tension for years now and so it is great to see him finding ways to release all that tension and learn that the world isn’t so scary! 👀✨✨

Following up on yesterdays post regarding Kimber:
Well you know how I said her life would be full of trail riding… ?
Well when her owners live just a trail rides distance away, I thought there wouldn’t have been a more fitting way to return her home than to ride her there!

I can’t thank Bullumwaal Park enough for trusting me to start their very first home bred gypsy cob 🙌 These guys produce some of the most beautiful and well tempered gypsy cobs around ✨✨

This beautiful mare has found her forever home 🫶✨

Bree came all the way from NSW to visit and ride this girl! Watching them bond together during their first ride was amazing!

Starting this mare under saddle and helping her find her new forever home was a pleasure and I can’t wait to watch these two grow 🙌🙌

A proper introduction of ✨Reggie✨ who is here to be started under saddle!

Look how he relaxed he is, can you believe when he first came here he was just one big anxious mess.

I’m so glad to be helping him find confidence in himself and everything around him, he is such dude!!

03/06/2024

Reggie’s second ride and first time out of the roundyard last week- no lunging was done beforehand.

This is going to be one super cool dude- I had to add in when my horses came cantering up the paddock and Reggie didn’t even bat an eye.

From a super anxious horse to this, I can’t wait to show you guys what he else has accomplished when his time with me is finished! 🔅🔅

Send me through a message if you have a young one who needs starting under saddle, I’d love to work with them ✨
