4 Paws Animal Rescue Inc Est 2005, 100% Volunteer run, 4 Paws Animal Rescue offers “New Home, New Life" to unwanted animals. We are a Non Profit Organisation run entirely by volunteers.

4 Paws Animal Rescue provides refuge for homeless dogs and cats on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. Most of our animals come from council pounds, some are surrendered or abandoned, others are saved from cruel living conditions, sometimes abused or neglected, or have been surrendered by members of the public that can longer care for their pet. All these animals are placed into wonderful

foster care until they are responsibly re-homed into permanent, loving families. We also take in a large number of elderly and special needs pets each year who remain with us a 4 Paws Permanent Residents, ensuring they receive the very best of care.

4 Paws Animal Rescue runs successfully because of our dedicated team of sponsors, volunteers, supporters and members. Most of all, 4 Paws Animal Rescue cannot survive without our foster families, these families are ready to take the animals home as they arrive into our care, sharing their lives, loving them unconditionally,training,nursing and rehabilitating them when needed, thus preparing them for adoption. All 4 Paws animals are vet checked, micro chipped, wormed, flea treated and de-sexed prior top being available for adoption. This beautiful lady needs to find a home if only short term. Charity is not coping in our cattery at all. She is sad and we can see she is regressing each day she is in our cattery. Our 7NEWS Sunshine Coast pet of the week is Honey the 6 year old chihuahua. Honey is a pocket rocket weighing in at only 5kgs. She's a loyal friend who will be your constant companion. She loves her walks, sleeps well through the night, loves a drive in the car. Most of all she loves playing with her red ball. Honey must be placed into an only pet household with someone who is home more often than not. She'll make a wonderful companion for many years to come.

Meet Honey – Your Loyal Little Shadow

Honey is a 6½-year-old female Chihuahua with a sweet nature and a heart full of love.
Weighing just 5 kilos, she's the perfect petite companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate friend.

Honey enjoys her daily walks, is toilet trained, and knows how to use a doggie door. She sleeps soundly through the night in the laundry and loves to snuggle up in her cozy jumper during the colder months.

Honey thrives as the only pet in the home—she’s not a fan of sharing her space with other dogs. She's an inside dog who adores human company and would suit someone who is home often.

This little girl is incredibly people-focused, following you from room to room like a devoted shadow. She also comes with her favourite red ball and loves to play fetch with her family—it's one of her greatest joys!

Sunshine Coast Council has been providing support to 4 Paws Animal Rescue Inc for many years through their Community Partnership Grant funding.
This ongoing financial assistance with operational expenses assists us to continue our work saving the lives of homeless animals on the Sunshine Coast.
We are proud to be members of the Pet Partnership scheme along with our friends at Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge and RSPCA Noosa, encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership on the Sunshine Coast.

Cinnamon belongs to our Permanent Foster program due to being in her more mature years of 12yrs old! It means that all vet fees are paid for by 4 Paws at Nicklin Way Veterinary Surgery based in Warana. Although Cinnamon has currently no health issues!

We really don’t want her spending her adult years in our cattery. Patience, a quiet home and an experienced cat owner is what is needed for this lady. Are you seeking a companion but not necessarily a furry friend that is needy then this is the girl for you?

Introducing Charity! This gorgeous 9 yr old girl LOVES and CRAVES attention! You will not be short of love from this one. Brushed, pat, cuddled, stroked… she adores it all!

However at the cattery we can only give her so much attention so we feel a cosy, loving home where she can be your companion is what is best for her.

Passed her vet health check ✔️ with flying colours!

🐾👏 Connecting Communities 👏🐾
Volunteers are at the heart and soul of everything we do at 4Paws Animal Rescue.

Meet our super secretary Kate. She's just one of the many volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the wheels turning every day. All of them connected by a shared sense of passion about animal welfare. As she says, "it really is a great group of people to be involved with". And we truly appreciate every single one of them.

🐾 🐾 PETS of the week! 🐈 🐱 🐾 🐾

This adorable bonded pair, 17 month old, Sapphire and Ivory are seeking either a foster carer or a new furever home!

Unfortunately they didn’t have a great start in life when mummy along with brothers and sisters were dumped! Thankfully they’ve all been adopted apart from these two gorgeous girls!

Sapphire has a small deformity with having only having 3 legs but it doesn’t stop her!

They are slightly timid and need patience, love and care and after time they will become wonderful companions. Whilst they are still playful these wonderful sisters are not your typical “tear away”kittens.

The current foster carer has worked wonders, gained their trust and for them to go back to our cattery would mean hardwork wasted! Please can you help?
