All courses are run IN PERSON in MOOROOLBARK or CROYDON.

We understand that you love your dog and want what's best for them.

And we also know that your dog would be even more enjoyable to live with if we could get rid of any niggly bad habits they have.

There's a temptation to wait for them to grow out of the biting, the jumping, the barking, the pulling on the lead, etc.

However, they seldom do so without being taught what's ok and what's not ok.

But when you get rid of their bad manners for good, you no longer need to...

Put them on lead or outside when visitors come over..

Have your peace disrupted when people/dogs walk past your property or ring the doorbell..

Walk your dog at quiet times of the day to avoid embarrassment (or cringe at the thought of walking them)..

Fight for attention through their selective hearing..

Hide your shoes and socks and keep everything you care about out of reach..

Rescue the cat from being chased and tormented..

Scrape through a sliver of a door opening in case they barge through..

Avoid them completely when they're in a mouthy mood (or be used as a chew toy)..

Helplessly watch them race around your house at 7pm because it's time for zoomies..

Walk and feed them when they demand it because otherwise they become harder to live with..

And any other changes you've made to your life because of their bad manners and tantrums.

We work through all of the above and more in the 8 Week Manners Course.

We start in August. We don't use treats to train them. The classes are small and personalised.

Which means in as little as 4 weeks, you can have a polite pup who actually listens - even when distracted😉

- Truly enjoy taking your dog for a walk without them dragging you down the street

- walking through the door without your dog pushing past you uninvited
- being able to leave your things anywhere you want, without them getting stolen or destroyed
- getting them to hold a drop/lie down position/bed command for up to an hour

And, most importantly, get them listening to you no matter how excited they are!

We run the courses in the Croydon/Mooroolbark area on Monday and Tuesday nights as well as Tuesday mornings.
The course will give you all of these results very easily, without the use of treats.

The Urban Wolf Story

Inspired by Yoshi

After Yoshi almost died in September 2018, I decided to start Urban Wolf Training.

Having been a dog trainer for 2 decades and after helping over a thousand dog owners connect with their dogs (of all breeds, ages and personalities), it was time to start this exciting new venture.

I wanted Yoshi to live on - to continue to help and inspire dog owners even after we eventually said goodbye to him. We even put him in our logo with his patented cross-legged pose he'd always do!

Why I choose Akitas

Akitas are one of the hardest, most stubborn breeds to train. They can also be aggressive towards other animals and people. It takes a lot to get them to listen as they're quite aloof.

That's why I choose to own Akitas. I love the challenge and I love that I can prove it can be done. If I can teach Akitas to listen and be happy-go-lucky members of society, anything's possible with your dog!

I just want to help...

My goal is to help as many dog owners with their dogs as possible so that no dogs get surrendered or euthanised just because they're misunderstood or their owners were misinformed.
