Introducing Poppy.
Poppy is a 3yo blue heeler girl, who has come in from a local pound. She's social with people and other dogs, though does tend to bark at the horses through the fence at her foster home so we'd recommend a home without these. She has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Her full profile will go up on the Savourlife adoption platform over the weekend, and she'll be ready to go out for adoption after her vet work on 17 June.
If you are looking for a friendly, not-too-energetic cattle dog, Poppy might be your girl.

Due to circumstances beyond their control, we have had two boys from our "Muppet" litter become available for adoption once again.
Now around 8 weeks old in age; they are filled with love, cheekiness and love nothing more than a snuggle.

"Scooter" and "Animal" are two handsome boys looking for individual households. NO females or other siblings are available for adoption.

Animal is the most active of the bunch and would do best with another dog within the home. He will be looking for a home with a FEMALE dog only and won't be searching for an only dog home or a home with another MALE dog.

Scooter is the sweetest boy, and the last born of the litter. He is suitable as a spoiled only dog within the home or in a home with a FEMALE dog as a companion.

These puppies have been hand raised in foster care alongside their beautiful mum Luna. They are French bulldog x pug and are searching for homes that have dog experience, understand the requirements for sensitivity within the breed for hotter weather and are looking for homes committed to inside loving and ongoing training and socialisation.
To be suitable, some of their requirements are;
- homes within NSW or ACT ONLY
- NO first time dog owners
- Kids experienced with dog exposure
- Inside access to the home
- All dogs within the home MUST be desexed
- Best suited to homes with someone home more often than not
- Secure and safe fencing free from gaps and holes

Located in the Newcastle NSW area, they are ready to meet you now!
If you have applied previously, feel free to submit another application however we expect we will once again be overwhelmed with forms to process.
Their adoption fee is 850 and they'll be ready to leave for their new homes around 10 weeks of age

When we say that we are at capacity, believe us. Unfortunately there are far more animals needing help than there are people willing to - and in a position to - help.
Reliable foster care spots are the limiting factor in our ability to save lives, and we need a variety of foster homes ( no animals, single dog or multi dog homes) to match the variety of dogs needing help.
L to R: Marshall, Daryl, resident dog Polly, Rita, Duke and Indi (partly obscured).

Long termers Mack and Sarmi loved last week's Pet Life Festival, and these handsome boys were a big hit with some of the photographers attending the event, including the lovely who took these gorgeous photos. Even gracing the pages of the Newcastle Herald.
Alas no adoption for either, though.
Please share to find these lads the homes they so deserve.

Sharing for our friends at HVMH

Seniors have a special place in our heart, and they are often overlooked. After years of service, this boy is being discarded like he doesn't matter.

If you are a suitable home for this boy, please reach out. Fostering saves lives and this boy deserves a royal retirement.

FOSTER TO ADOPT NEEDED FOR SENIOR MAREMMA

We are looking for a foster to adopt carer for a 12 year old intact male Maremma.

He’s lived with sheep, alpacas, chickens and is apparently good with other dogs and loves children.

This boy desperately needs a soft landing and a safe place to retire.

Requirements:
- You must be located within The Hunter Region so he is able to be transported to our vets
- Must live on acreage
- You must have experience with Maremmas or other LGD breeds
- Must have a small, secure area for him while he settles

Please message us for an application if you think you can help.

If you can’t help— please share!

With his little mate Brian ( left) on adoption trial, and his brother Daryl with adoption interest, gorgeous Duke (right) wants to know "Where's my family?"
1 yo Duke quickly overcame a nervous start to integrate into the foster pack and learn new skills like walking on lead. He even goes out with the dog walker now.
He's an absolute sweetie.

Officially opening applications for our Muppet litter. Their mum Luna is a beautiful French bulldog and their dad was a pug.
We have 5 handsome little boys and 2 sweet little girls (Miss Piggy and Skeeter) available for adoption. They will only be available to NSW and ACT homes and NOT available as sibling pairs.

Being born into care, this beautiful litter have been raised with the love, nurture and care all puppies should start with. They have been exposed to various other dogs, dog savvy kids and the loving cuddles of everyone who's met them.

They are 7 weeks old tomorrow (18/05) and are ready to leave for their new homes around 10 weeks of age. We are open to homes with existing animals in but we do suggest due to the nature of the bulldog breed that puppies are placed in homes with the OPPOSITE gender of existing canines.

Being so young, they're young enough to be exposed to homes with cats and other pets and are best suited to homes with kids over the age of 5 years.
Households where they're mostly indoors especially during the warmer months are best suited.

We are searching for homes with secure and safe fencing, free from gaps underneath but may be open to rural fencing for the right households and set up.
We don't recommend them for first time dog owners as the breeds can be stubborn, persistent and often cheeky.

Located in the Newcastle area NSW, as we are expecting a fair few applications please be patient with our volunteer team as they process applicants to the next stage.
