Yesterday, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2nd & 3rd Elite Specialty trials in Australia — and as a double header, no less! 🇦🇺✨

It was such an honor to judge at this level and witness so many talented teams at work. What made it even more special was seeing handlers and dogs who’ve worked their way up through the levels now stepping into Elite — such a rewarding journey to witness.

This style of trial really brings a more real-world feel to the sport. It allows competitors to gather points gradually, which takes the pressure off and creates a much more relaxed and enjoyable vibe. 🙌🐾

🐾 What a week for our South East Queensland scent work community! 🐾

This past week, we’ve had FIVE amazing scent work trials, and our troopers have truly shone! 💫 From showing, retrieving, and tracking to our fan favourite scent work, we couldn’t be prouder of the incredible work happening here. 🦸‍♂️🐕‍🦺

We also had breed specialty shows featuring some awesome sporting events, and while not all our qualifiers are featured here, the love and support within the scent community has been next level. 💖

A HUGE shoutout to all the dogs and handlers for their dedication, perseverance, and sniffing skills. 🐾✨ You’ve made this weekend unforgettable memories for you all and your carpark buddies

We’re seeing more and more levels opening up as the calibre of dogs and handlers across our community continues to rise — and we love to see it! 👏

Some of our troopers joined in on the action yesterday, and it was awesome to watch everyone step up and give it their all. 🙌

Big thanks to Ultimate K9 for hosting, and well done to everyone who put themselves out there to try something new. Best part? Every entry earned enough points to carry forward to the next trials! 🔥🎯

Sometimes the hardest part of growth is going back to basics.
At Get Woofd, we often see teams switching to us or adding us into their training mix after years of training elsewhere, eager to jump straight into the advanced or flashy work. But we know the real magic happens when you rebuild a strong foundation.

It’s not about starting over—it’s about strengthening your connection, sharpening your communication, and learning to truly read your dog. That’s why our approach always brings you back to those essential building blocks, no matter your level.

Meet Lila and Suzi 🐾—who after months of returning to foundational work in our group classes, felt confident walking into a Dogs Australia Masters search yesterday. They said they felt like they cleared the room. More than the ribbon, they left with that good feeling—that quiet confidence born from solid work.

Foundations aren’t just the beginning—they’re tools you carry with you through every level. 💪 well done Ching Suzi and Lila

🐾 Meet Buddy the Cavockle — yes, you heard right! A Cavockle is a charming Cavalier x Cocker spaniel, and Buddy might just have the most dashing doggy hair we’ve ever seen 😍✨

He and his handler Clara are one of our newer Trialing teams, working closely with our amazing trainers Ching & Cass. Lately, they’ve been absolutely smashing it in scent work! 👃🐶

At the recent Dogs Australia Caboolture trial, Buddy competed in Novice Containers and Interiors — and walked away with TWO qualifications! 🎉

Clara says she’s loving watching his excitement and confidence grow in every class, and honestly, so are we. Go, Buddy! 💪🐕

🎉 MASSIVE shoutout to Sue and the amazing Rio for absolutely smashing it at last night’s Dogs Australia Ultimate Search! 🐾💥

They not only took out 1st place, but also qualified in their class — one of only four qualifications awarded in this intense challenge! 🙌

For those new to Ultimate, it’s no walk in the park: the number of hides (3–10) is unknown to the handler, and the time limit is set by the judge. It’s a true test of teamwork, trust, and precision under pressure. 💪🐶

Ultimate is a beast of a challenge — it demands everything to align: odour availability, dog and handler coverage, and the ability to read convergence zones and push for those surplus hides. Very few dogs can work this solo, but Rio & Sue showed us what it means when all the pieces fall into place at just the right moment. 🧩✨

👏 Congrats again to this powerhouse team — your hard work, connection, and drive are an inspiration!

🎉 Huge congratulations to our incredible instructors, Kimmie & Sam, on their amazing results at last night’s Dogs Australia Ultimate Trial! 🐾✨

Both teams not only qualified in their class — they were the only dogs to qualify, even with some decent odour puzzles in the search. 💪🔥

The journey hasn’t always been easy, but both Kimmie with Brew and Sam with Nova have shown what it means to persevere. Through ups, downs, and everything in between, they’ve never stopped asking questions, looking for solutions, and growing as teams. 🧠❤️

They didn’t throw the towel in when things got tough — they stuck it out, learned, and came back stronger.

🌟 2025 ACSW K9 Nose Work Camp 🌟
The Get Woof’d team made it to Regional NSW for the bi-annual ACSW K9 Nose Work Camp, our entire training team was in one place, at one time!

📡 With limited reception, we truly unplugged and immersed ourselves in all things Nose Work:
🐾 Cass joined the camp as one of the appointed instructors
🐾 Kimmie audited across the eight instructor sessions and working teams
🐾 Sam and Ching both had working spots with their dogs and soaked up every bit of learning!

We had an incredible time connecting, growing, and recharging. Please bear with us as we slowly reintegrate back into normal society (and inboxes 😅).
