RADAR - Riverina And District Animal Rescue R251000073 Riverina And District Animal Rescue Inc RADAR Inc is a group of volunteers who rescue and rehome pound animals in danger of being euthanased.

We operate in the Riverina region of NSW and also in Canberra. Donations from the community help to run and keep RADAR Inc operating. Our Foster Carers look after, nurture, and love pets until they are adopted, no matter how long it takes. All animals are desexed, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to or upon adoption.

Introducing Yoda!!

He is an absolute champion. He loves his doggo friends and human friends alike. He even met a bunny, some horses and cats recently, and took it all in his stride.

We're working on house training, so far so good. He knows sit, lay down, beg, and has pretty good recall. He came off leash this morning to feed all the farm animals and stayed with the pack.

He gets a little sad if you leave him behind, so he would definitely prefer someone home more often than not or someone who can take him with them on adventures.

He will need a secure yard. He his tiny and capable of squeezing through gaps to get closer to you.

He coped well, being crated at the adoption day yesterday, not making a peep and travelled well in the car.

Yoda will be available shortly, and is doubtful he'll be in care for long so if you're interested I'd advise popping in an application quick via our website.

Goofy’s Story – A Heartbreaking Plea

Goofy came into our care when he was just a few days old—far too young to be taken from his mother. He and his sibling (Pluto) were heartlessly dumped at the pound, left to fend for themselves.

From the moment we met Goofy, we knew something was terribly wrong. Whether due to trauma, illness, or poor breeding, he had severe neurological issues. At just 10 days old, with the guidance of our veterinary team, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. His condition was only going to continue to decline, and the kindest thing we could do was to prevent further suffering.

In nearly a decade of rescue, we’ve seen unimaginable cruelty and neglect—but never before have we had to make this call for a kitten so young. And what makes it even worse? It was completely avoidable.

Desex your pets. Prevent unwanted litters. Don’t abandon vulnerable animals and leave rescues—already overwhelmed and underfunded—to clean up the consequences. The suffering Goofy endured was preventable. Do better, we're BEGGING you!

This little dude is Waffles. He is using our resident dog as a pillow and it seems to be his preferred sleeping arrangement.
He also wrestles with the dog, who is significantly bigger than him, a habit he learnt from our resident cat.
Given that the children and the resident pets all seem taken by Waffie, we've decided to adopt him.

Pancakes, the sweetest boy! 🥞
He's nicknamed turtle because he folds his tail over his back when he runs and it's adorable (and hilarious).
He has been around dogs, other cats and kids. He is very playful but also loves a snuggle.
