🐕 An update on our sweet boy Taj, and a message from the Pawsome family 🐾❤️

🐕 As many of our wonderful clients and friends know, our gorgeous boy Taj has been fighting a fierce battle against a nasty cancer on his nose planum. We have poured absolutely everything we have into his treatments, but heartbreakingly, it hasn’t kept the tumor at bay as long as we hoped.

🐕 Losing our beautiful Koda just 2 months ago left our hearts completely shattered, but we are forcing ourselves to stay strong and brave for Taj. We simply cannot lose him too - not to this, and not this soon. Right now, we are doing everything within our power to keep him comfortable, happy, and loved while we navigate this next hurdle.

🐕 Our Next Steps & Signs of Hope ✨
Our next step is a critical round of diagnostics with the oncology specialists at SASH. We need to understand exactly how far the cancer has progressed so we can map out our treatment options.

The incredibly hopeful news is that as far as we are aware, the cancer hasn’t metastasised, meaning surgery could be a possibility and completely cure him.

Koda | 2013 – 2026 👑🐾

Yesterday, the centre of our home and world grew quiet. Our sweet, special, sassy "Boo Boo" - the true heart and soul of our lives - earned his angel wings. 🪽🌈

Koda passed peacefully at home, surrounded by more love than words can hold, enjoying one last treat of his favourite ice cream. 🍦

For almost 13 years, he ruled our home and Pawsome as our founding CEO (Canine Executive Officer). He lead with unmatched sass and a cheeky spirit that was truly larger than life. A dedicated foodie, the kitchen was his kingdom, and he took his job as professional treat-taster and bowl-licker very seriously.

Koda was our best bud and remains our greatest inspiration. His reach went far beyond our front door, and we are so grateful to everyone who loved him as we did. Thank you for being part of his story. We know his loud, joyful, and cheeky spirit touched many, and we know you’ll be hurting alongside us today. 💔

While our hearts are profoundly broken and life feels unrecognisable without him, we know his reign isn't over. His legacy lives on in his biological nephew and best buddy, Taj Jnr, who will continue to carry his spark; in every dog’s life he helped us improve through Pawsome; and in the spirit that will walk beside us on every trail, forever.

To Koda: Thank you for choosing us. It was our absolute pleasure to spoil you endlessly for the last 13 years.

Wait for us on the other side - meanwhile, swim, dig, destroy toys, and run pain-free our darling Boo.

We will miss you so badly it hurts, but we will carry your spirit with us on every step we take.
