Join us on a four week journey Introduction to Scent Work - where we focus on teaching your dog all about the Joy of the Search, how to think confidently and independently and how to communicate their find with you.

BRAIN & BODY BLITZ: (Feb only) 🐾🧠🐾
Is your dog struggling with coordination and balance?
Does it seem like their back legs aren't always listening?
Want to help them improve their brain-body connection?
No experience necessary however suitable for all dogs looking for foundation skills.

MIND, BODY & SOUL: (March only) 🧠🐶🧘‍♀️
This innovative class combines fun enrichment games, engaging trick training, and essential foundation fitness exercises to create a personalized program you can continue at home for the ultimate well rounded dog. Suitable for dogs of any skill level including complete beginners.

Hoopers Foundation Classes now open for booking 🤩🥳

Please note as of Feb 2025 - Hoopers Superstar Cara, will be officially (let’s be honest she has pretty much been running them for the past year 😂) taking over all of KivaDogs Hoopers Classes under her business Zen Dog Training. You are in extremely safe and talented hands 🙌 and hopefully I will even see you with my own dog in classes and at trials!

Hooper foundation classes starting in February located in the Swan Valley.

What is hoopers? Hoopers is a low impact sport for any dog and human of any ability. This class will teach you to navigate around a small course, teach you and your dog the foundation on handling and introduction of equipment. Hoopers is a FUN sport for you and your dog.

Last week’s teams had the opportunity to work through a huge multi-room, gazillion hide, off lead search - safe to say the dogs had a blast! I’ve never seen so many smiles & happy dogs 🤩🤩🤩

We are happy to accommodate foundation to advanced levels, however your dogs MUST be able to work off lead around other dogs in close proximity as classes are shared grounds at Dogs West.

🌟 What an Incredible Week for our Out and About Scent Work Teams 🌟

Our adventures took us back to Pet Fresh in Bayswater, and wow, what a sensory overload it was! From Novice level to Master level dogs, the teams tackled some seriously challenging searches amidst the most amazing distractions! 🐾

Huge shoutout to the incredible dogs and their dedicated handlers who made this week unforgettable – even if it was just from my cheeks hurting, from laughing so much.

A massive THANK YOU to Pet Fresh for letting us use your fabulous shop!!! 🩷🩷🩷 you guys rock!

Thanks to Pet Fresh for having the KivaDog Team out today and letting us showcase our favourite sports of Hoopers and Scent Work! We loved introducing the sports to some of the lucky pups there today :) I lost track of the age of the dogs but from 4 month old pups to 16 year old dogs - all out there having a go!

We love it!

A special THANK YOU to the KD crew who shone today - showing the love we have for the sports with endless energy and kind, enthusiast support to EVERYONE - you are all absolute superstars in my eyes 🥰😍😘

What an incredible evening at Optus Stadium last night! The weather couldn't have been more perfect for some Scent Work - balmy with a gentle breeze. Kudos to those who braved the peak hour traffic and stepped out of their comfort zone to join us for a unique experience! We can all agree it was well worth it. Personally, I love being able to offer these adventures and really enjoy setting the searches and challenges for these awesome dogs and watching them thrive! 😊

I think I need to consider putting together a video montage of me setting up the searches in public one night. It always feels so suspicious - me, walking around with my black bag, gloves on, hiding things in peculiar spots, cleaning and clearing the areas to ensure they're safe for the dogs (don't even ask about the cobwebs and redbacks I encountered last night!), and then snapping photos of everything. Surprisingly, I only get the occasional second glance - I must look incredibly innocent! 🤣
