I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who stepped in on the day of my accident to help Mum with my horses, and to the ABHA Cap Coast committee for all your support. And of course, to those who sat with me, kept me laughing, and helped hold my leg together (literally 😅) while we waited for the ambos — I won’t forget it.

Thank you everyone for the support, messages, and offers to help out — I truly appreciate it.

I loved having my room smell like a florist with all the flowers and chocolates that were sent, and thank you to those who came to visit 🥹

Surgery went well, I’m now home and on the road to recovery ❤️‍🩹 Back to cuddling the ponies — doctor’s orders for both my sanity and our mental health 😂🐴

I also can’t thank the colleagues who reached out enough to make sure my clients and their horses would be looked after over the next few weeks — especially those needing urgent care. It’s pretty special to see the industry come together and have each other’s backs when it matters most. 🫶🏼

Hey everyone,

As much as it saddens me to share, over the weekend I had an unfortunate slip during a competition run on a young horse, which resulted in a broken leg, I head to surgery on Wednesday to repair it.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I care about what I do and the horses I work on, so not being able to be out there looking after your horses has weighed on me more than anything.

While we were waiting for the ambulance, I cried more about not being able to work and feeling like I was letting my clients down than I did about the pain itself — that’s been the hardest part of all this for me.

I’m so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. For those who have horses booked in, I’ll be in contact with you (if I haven’t already) to organise a plan moving forward.

I won’t be down for long 🤞 I’ll keep you all updated and let you know as soon as I’m back up and running.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and support — it truly means a lot.
