Packed up and headed home.
9 quality bred horses started lightly undersadle for Jason and Rachel Leitch. These guys now have a good 6 week spell before I head back to lightly start them on the flag and let them progress in there cutting career.

In this bunch of horses we have had a few that were started else where that needed more of a polish and to develop an understanding of shoulder, rib and hip control. You really iron out a lot of braces in the process of gaining so much more of a rounded horse. Chances are if you have a brace in a horse one of those 3 key parts won’t be there. This is where the basics always shine through.

These two geldings headed home yesterday after having a light start.
Only here for 2 weeks and both left with 8 rides under saddle. Naturally quiet and willing

First one for the year heading home to valued and returning client.
This gelding Had a 5 week program, took it all in his stride and is now booked in for a couple weeks mustering with his owners.

🐴 Come along for a little ride as I talk about softness and how I like my breakers to feel before heading home 🐴

Notice how there’s no arguments or anxiety when being asked to slow, bend, stop, bend, turn etc all done in a willing soft manner.

This guys had 20 odd rides in the arena and 4/5 out side on trails etc (6 week program)

Not all horses go home with this level of ability, though my program definitely allows them to feel like this if they are physically and mentally ready for it.
