The first 24hrs matter the most.

🐄A healthy calf should be alert and able to stand within an hour.
🐄 Calves absorb antibodies best in the first 6 hours via colostrum/first milk.
🐄 The navel site should be clean and clear of infection.
🐄 Bond between cow and calf looks positive.
