Big shout out to this girl! Happiest of birthdays.

My kangaroo lifting, co pilot/navigator, chief hander of items, amazing joey settler, unofficial counsellor & initially reluctant/by association animal lover.

Happy sweet 16 Sina Letelemaana .

Many of you would have met her at rescues or when dropping things off to the house.

I've said it before but I truly couldn't do what I do without the support of my family & their understanding when rescues take me away from time with them.

P.S. I'll be unavailable from 5pm tonight for birthday dinner :)

🔴 🦘 Injured/unwell kangaroo - Carmel Cres/Kimberley Grange area of old Bruce Hwy.

This afternoon (Monday 28th April 25) we received a report of an adult female kangaroo with a noticeable sized pouch joey attempting to cross from Carmel Cres side to Kimberley Grange side of the old hwy.

She was moving almost at a crawl, went up on to the road then returned back to the Carmel Cres side. She went under the metal crash barrier near the old Matilda sign/overtaking sign and disappeared in to the long grass.

Despite looking for half an hour we were unable to find her.

Kangaroos follow the same paths so it's likely she has followed her regular route somewhere.

If you live in the areas near here she may have sought refuge on your property.

She could attempt to cross again & could end up anywhere- Kirsten Dr, Thomas rd, David Dr etc.

If you notice any roos who don't seem quite right please message us. Take photos/video if possible and monitor from a distance.

Kerrie is back from much needed time away.

Can't recommend Neureum Park highly enough.

Only half an hour away from Curra, beautiful accommodation, beautiful property and an abundance of wildlife including dozens of species of birds.

Skylights above the adjustable beds to take in the stars & moon.

Literally everything you need including BBQ, firepit, washing machine, dishwasher plus lots more.

Ina & Mark were the most gracious hosts, more than happy to assist wherever they could. Including showing me the best spots on the property!

Can't wait for my next visit :)
