FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) affects a cat’s bladder and urethra — and it’s more common than you might think. Watch out for signs like:
🚨 Frequent urination
🚨 Straining or crying in the litter box
🚨 Peeing outside the box
🚨 Blood in urine
🚨 Licking ‘down there’ a lot
When a cat (especially a male) gets a urinary blockage, they can’t p*e at all — and that’s a life-threatening emergency. As you can see with this little guy, we have to put a urinary catheter in. The catheter helps relieve the obstruction and allows urine to pass while the bladder heals.
Always contact your vet if you notice these signs — FLUTD can become serious fast, especially in male cats. The sooner we help, the better they feel (and the less your rugs suffer). 💦🙃
