M&T Equine Solutions We are a husband-and-wife team based on the Atherton Tablelands North Queensland Australia. We have a focus on handling yearlings and starting 2- & 3-year-olds.

OPEN mid OCT to mid- March We are a husband-and-wife team specialising in handling and breaking in horses from yearlings to 3yrs old. We have years of experience working in the cattle and horse industry, from working on cattle stations in the north of Australia. Qld, NT, WA. We now call the Atherton Tablelands our home. We have an interest in Cutting Horses and Campdrafting. We enjoy working with

Saying good bye to the little champ. First time up the ramp on his own. Back to his home on a cattle station in Nth Qld. His job is becoming a mustering/work horse. He will be going up and down this ramp for years to come. Thanks, guys, for entrusting us with your horse.

This fella is heading home soon. Totally unfazed by the dogs or the motorbike, just taking everything in his stride like the cool customer he is. It’s truly been a pleasure having him here.

A follow up to the first intro of the stockwhip. Now he is standing and accepting the whip. Its preparing him for when he goes back to his owner

An introduction to the Aussie stockwhip for the clients horse. A stockwhip is usually 1.5–3 metres long, made from plaited leather. The stockwhip is a part of Australian bush culture. It is used for moving and controlling cattle by sound and movement, not by hitting animals. Whip cracking is also performed as a sport & skill.

If your horse braces in the contact, don’t rush to get away from it — it’s just information.

Stay with it, wait and allow them time to soften. Letting go too quickly can feel like the kind thing to do but it often teaches anticipation, instead of helping them relax into the bridle and genuinely soften.

Returning from a lovely afternoon ride. Video was taken in the earlier stages, this is the young horse's 5th ride all up, & 3rd ride outside. We are really happy with the way he is coming along.

Very happy with this young horse. Has a beautiful accepting calmness in him. Took lessons in trailer loading in his stride.
