Tricksy has a lice/mite problem. She has been lethargic, isolating, depressed and her comb and wattles seem pale.

Bath time today, a little sulphur/lime dip with salt and vinegar and I’ve been making her food high in iron, calcium and herbs to build up her immune system. A little poultry cell too. She should be back to normal in no time.

Tricksy is an older hen plus it’s the time of year when these parasites are in full swing.
They have dust bath areas with barn lime, wood ash, DA and some herbs too.

Sometimes, when their immune systems get run down, like after being broody or something like that, they need a little extra tlc.

Anyone here have experience with scissor beaks chicks? I have one and would prefer it go to someone that knows how to feed it. Very active little chick but it needs some tlc in order to thrive.
