We are closely monitoring the federal court's decision to temporarily block the freeze on federal grants and loans. While this provides a brief reprieve, the risk to critical housing and homelessness programs remains high. We will continue to advocate for the protection of these essential resources and for the people and communities they support.

The City of Longview’s Homeless Resource Day is fast approaching!
It will be held January 23, from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Longview Convention Complex - Maude Cobb Convention Center.

The City of Longview is asking residents to please consider donating supplies for outreach bags that will be passed out the day of the event.

The Library is a drop-off point for these supplies.

Please try to get them in by January 20, when we’ll load donations up and take them to the convention center to be sorted and distributed.

These supplies are vital as part of the City and community non-profit organizations to offer collaborative efforts to help meet the needs of the homeless and houseless.

We’re quite low on all supplies, so please consider donating the following:

Individual Sized and/or Individually Wrapped Items
- Bottled Water
- Snack Crackers
- Dried Fruit (Raisins)
- Granola Bars / Breakfast Bars
- Nuts
- Pull Top Canned Food
- Juice
- Fruit cups
- Beef Jerky
- Cereal
- Trail Mix

Miscellaneous and Hygiene Items
- New Socks
- Bath Towels
- Toothpaste
- Shampoo

You can bring items to the library during business hours.

They can be dropped off inside at the library front desk.

You’re also welcome to drive around the back where our loading drop and outside drops are located. Call (903) 237-1351 and we’ll help you unload donations via Curbside.

We currently have a pressing need for men’s clothing in size 4XL and shoes in size 12.

We are also in need men's socks and underwear in sizes medium through 3XL.
