On the 5th of June 2024, it was the first day that I hit the streets of Temora, dragging a dog grooming trailer behind me with a passion for dogs and their care, but very little knowledge of the world of grooming. I had a lot to learn; I could not have imagined how much I would grow and achieve, and it's only been two years. Yes, it's hard to believe it's only been two years, and the community that has built around this small little business is something I still cannot believe. I am grateful for the opportunity to take care of and be trusted with so many fur babies. I have learned a lot and continue to do so. I have experienced love and loss with new dogs entering my trailer, and sadly, I have had many that journey over the rainbow bridge—that's the part of grooming that impacts me the most.

From the streets of Temora to growing and traveling to the beautiful places of the Riverina, thank you to all my regular clients; this would not be possible! Happy birthday to this little journey and this little business that continues to grow.

Yesterday the trailer also got a much-needed makeover while still in the process I would like to say a massive thank you to Scott and Rachel!!

📰 BARKING NEWS 📰

The Pawlice have apprehended these two cutie pooties after they allegedly used violence towards the blow dryer. Roxy is accused of throwing paws like she's Mike Tyson, and Millie is accused of doing a bite and run, also like Mike Tyson. Due to being known to each other (best friends), the Pawlice say this was a premeditated attack that could have been 8 weeks in the planning. Both girls were sent to Air Jail, but after a brief court appearance, both were released without charge on the condition that they will practice calm breathing and peaceful thoughts. This comes much to the disapproval of the Pawlice, who claim that the girls will indeed reoffend. In fact, they know that in just under 8 weeks, both girls will be in Air Jail again.

Barking Update: A spokesperson for the dryer stated that despite this unprovoked attack, the dryer returned to work the same day and has at this stage denied the need for further treatment. What a brave blow dryer it is!

Meet one of my regulars 🐾🧡

Rusty (AKA Rust/Rustation/Rustalot) on June 15th, 2024, two handsome 😝 gingers met and became mates. Rusty recently turned 13; his legs don't work like they used to (neither do mine). He's more wobbly than a dude leaving the pub on a Friday night, but his smile still lights up the trailer, and he still steals all my treats. 🤨 We learn to adapt to his abilities; that's what you have to do with senior dogs, and I wouldn't have it any other way! I look forward to seeing him every 6 weeks, and he looks forward to eating all of my treats! It's a win-win!

❄️Winter IS coming ❄️

Hey Barking Mad Fam! First off, I want to thank everyone for their ongoing support! I am definitely one of the lucky ones!
I have had a few clients who are a bit concerned about the afternoon bookings now that the sun is leaving us early. I just want to reassure you that my trailer has great lighting, so even in the dark, I can still work. And yes, it's getting cooler as the sun goes down, but I have continuous hot/warm water for the bath, and my trailer has reverse cycle A/C. So on the chilly afternoons, I can keep the trailer nice and toasty. Really, 5 PM in the dark is the same as 5 PM in the sunshine; your fur babies will be in the comfort of a warm trailer.

As Goldilocks would say if she entered the trailer, this one's not too hot, not too cold; it's just right!! 😂

Also, it's important, even in the cooler months, that you stick to the regular grooming. If your dog stays nice and fresh, we can keep their fur at a comfortable/manageable length. Not always do we need to do full grooms, but hygiene grooms are very important as well. Being overgrown and matted does not add warmth; it affects health and comfort. Remember, you don't stop your hygiene routine just because it's winter, and nor should your dog. 🐾🥰

First-world sausage dog problems: Dolly did not agree to an 8 AM bath; she is appalled that this is happening to her at this ridiculous hour! She wanted to speak to management right away but was informed that they do not open until 9 AM, by that time there will no point in complaining. 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi Barking Mad Family! Moving forward I will be sending out booking confirmations the day before your booking (many are booked weeks in advance so I appreciate some may forget) please reply to this message ASAP🙏 if I have had no reply by 8am (I will send a further reminder if I can) that day (day of booking) I will not include your dog on the schedule. Unfortunately, this will help me plan which dog goes where and a good ETA

Also if I send you a booking date please confirm if it's suitable, I have many people wanting a booking but if I don't know what's suitable I don't know if to hold the spot...( I can't even read my own mind let alone someone else's 😂)

I KNOW A FEW OF MY CLIENTS ARE NOT TECH SAVY SO I WILL PROCCED AS NORMAL WITH THEM

I am sorry to be a pain in the a$$ but I have limited time to chase people up for bookings
