Limping mystery solved! 🐾🦴

This brave pup came to us recently with a sudden worsening limp in the left front leg—so painful he’d stopped eating, which his humans said was very unlike him!

🩺 On examination, he had a high fever and was non-weight bearing on said leg, with swelling and pain around his fourth and fifth toes.

🔎 X-rays revealed the culprit: a 2cm linear metallic foreign body lodged deep in his paw pad!

🚨 Under sedation, Dr Adeline performed a surgical procedure to remove the foreign object—successfully locating and extracting it through a small incision.

💉 He is now recovering well at home on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. Happier than ever, Max is already back to eating and wagging that tail! 🐶💚

So grateful for our beautiful clients! Today we were lucky enough to be given a delicious home made cake for the team to share. (It started off as a whole cake but clearly didn’t stay that way for long!) Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕

Meet Dennis 🧦
When Dennis’s mum noticed one of her socks was missing, she had a pretty good idea who the culprit might be. She quickly called Willoughby Vet, and we advised her to bring Dennis in so we could help him out.
Our team gave Dennis an injection to make him vomit, and within a few minutes, the sock made its grand reappearance!
Dennis wasn’t too thrilled about parting with his “delicious” find, but it was definitely the best outcome for everyone.
Once the sock was out, Dennis was given medication to settle his tummy and stop any further nausea. Before long, his mum was able to take him home—happy, healthy, and sock-free.
A huge thank you to Dennis’s mum for acting so quickly in what could have turned into a much more serious situation.
