New design for the striped marsh frog tank! (Swipe to see old design). It has finally become time for a remodel - one that suits the frogs better! Being wetland frogs, they like to hide in caves and near water but also love deep water to swim. The old versions plants were getting too out of hand and taking up any aquatic space for the frogs to enjoy. And all though the new tank setup appears bare, in a few months the plants will be thriving and the tank will return to its luscious look. Follow to see how this tank grows!!

Kongobatha Diademata (snake mantis). Some sad news with these ones, just after the female successfully mated, the female passed away 😢. Breeding mantises has taught me a lot about the circle of life and not to take lives for granted as you never know when it may be someone’s last day.

guess who finally moulted into an adult female.... KONGOBATHA DIADEMATA DID!!! Finally with an adult snake mantis I can begin breeding! Male mantises don’t tend to live nearly as long as the females (roughly only 1-3 months) so considering I’ve had my males for about a month I need to get onto breeding! Guess which one is the female 👀 .
