Today I had the pleasure of treating Ted. Ted is a 12 year old Groodle with arthritis in his hind limbs. The focus of my therapy was to activate his quad muscles and increase circulation as well as loosen the shoulder and back muscles overcompensating for his hind limbs. He was looking very relaxed and happy at the end!

We have GOOD and BAD news.

Last weekend all of our shelter dogs found foster homes. Our wonderful Casey finally landed somewhere perfect for him, and is LOVING hanging out on the couch. And our Dingo boys are enjoying a trip away with their foster carer.

Beautiful Brandi also found foster care, but unfortunately it was not to be. She isn't coping with the foot traffic in her carers home, and is now looking for somewhere new.

➡️Can you help???? PLEASE SHARE THIS POST if you cannot foster.

Brandi is still recovering from surgery on her back leg, and attends hydrotherapy 3 times a week, so needs a carer local to the Newcastle area. Don't worry transport will be arranged for this!

Brandi is a happy, friendly and affectionate girl who is very loyal to those she loves. She's looking for a dedicated foster home with no other dogs, no kids under 8 years old, and few visitors. She will also need someone home more often than not.

We're looking for someone who can see Brandi through her recovery journey and then adoption - so secure fencing is also necessary for when her energy comes back.

🫵CAN YOU HELP??🫵

Brandi summary:
💚Cuddly, loyal and happy girl
💚Needs someone home often
💚Needs a quiet household
💚Secure fencing (6ft) required
💚Kids over 8, no other pets
💚Needs to be local to Newcastle area

If you can help foster Brandi, live in the local Greater Hunter or Central Coast region and can provide a secure yard, and a warm place to sleep for Brandi, then please complete our foster form below.
All resident dogs must be desexed.

There is absolutely no financial cost at all to you as a foster carer.

We supply all the below
🍖 - Food
🎾 - Toys
⚠️ - Vet Care
🐶 - Training
🙏🏻 - Community Support

A Canine massage success story for five year old George!

A Canine massage success story for five year old George!

George is a five-year-old miniature Dachshund suffering from a non-resolving skin condition - he was biting his back legs and always required a cone on his head. He was on antibiotics, steroids, cortisone creams and still could not be trusted to have his cone removed or he would chew his back legs until he had open wounds. His owner wanted a second opinion and to have him assessed for pain. George's diagnosis was updated from a skin condition to a spinal, musculoskeletal and nerve pain condition. He was treated with acupuncture, osteopathic techniques, myofascial release techniques, laser, PEA and Chinese herbs. His owner was given a massage prescription, he responded favourably and loved his daily massage routine. George is now completely pain free, lesion free and off all pain supplements. He has intermittent acupuncture to maintain his spine and his owner now does all his maintenance, keeping his legs comfortable with daily massage.
