MEET THE FOUNDER -
Bree Pace, 26 year old, Owner & Founder of Pacing Stockfeeds.
Bree grew up in a racing stable, her father (Ray) having a huge passion for Harness Racing and her mother (Deb) a passion and drive for science based training of racehorses, both harness and gallops.🐴💪
No doubt, Bree fell into love with horses and never looked back. Following her parents footsteps in the love for Racing but also an unexpected love for Agriculture. Specifically, livestock and grazing pastures.🐮🐑🌾
Bree has recently completed her Cert 4 in Racehorse Training and continues her Bachelor degree in Animal Science with a strong focus on nutrition. 🤓
Among running Pacing Stockfeeds with the help of her parents, she also works within the Thoroghbred industry.

I'm not sure about you but we have a few horses feeling a bit spicy at present🌶
We know our horses pretty well, there has been no change in their feed programs however, what has changed is the amount of bio-avaliable grass they're consuming while grazing.
Blood results have shown a spike in sugar level's, much like when we give kids red cordial, our horses have a build up of sugar that they need to burn off! (Or maybe limited grazing time😉)

We've been talking a lot about laminitis... So what actually is it?🤔
Laminitis is inflammation of the laminae. The delicate tissues that anchor the pedal (coffin) bone to the hoof wall in horses.
When laminae are inflamed and damaged, the bond holding the hoof wall to the internal structures weakens, allowing the pedal bone to rotate downwards or sink within the hoof capsule.
This can lead to severe pain, damage to the sole, and other hoof problems. And we all know, NO HOOF, NO HORSE.

Antacid and Coating Supplement for Horses at Risk of Gastric Ulcers
Prolonged exposure of the stomach to gastric acid can cause damage to the stomach lining, resulting in a painful condition for the horse.

Research has shown that as many as 90% of horses in training have some level of stomach damage.

Gastrointestinal upsets are common amongst many horses. Symptoms may include:
🐴Gastric sensitivity
🐴Loose manure
🐴Windsucking
🐴Loss of appetite
🐴Weight loss
🐴Stable vices
🐴Poor coat condition
🐴Unsettled behaviour
Neigh-Lox contains a combination of rapidly acting antacids. One serve is capable of neutralising the amount of gastric acid typically produced over a six-hour period.

EquiShure®promotes normal digestive function by aiding in the maintenance of an optimal hindgut environment and is designed for horses suspected of suffering from or that are at risk of developing hindgut acidosis.

Many horses have hindgut disturbances and EquiShure’s unique encapsulation technology ensures targeted release directly in the hindgut. The demands placed on horses, as both athletes and breeding animals, dictate that substantial quantities of energy–rich feeds be consumed. Disturbances in the normal hindgut environment are thought to result from overconsumption of either high–starch concentrates or pasture grasses rich in fructans (sugars).

Hindgut acidosis leads to changes in the bacterial population of the hindgut, digestive disturbances, and reduced digestive efficiency. EquiShure supplies a time-released balancer to neutralise the acid and help maintain a stable hindgut environment, which encourages proper digestion and absorption of nutrients.
