We want to share Molly’s story with you and ask for your suppawt?

Molly (her new name) had been sighted over the last few weeks in a number of Perth’s southern suburbs. A number of kind people tried to get close to help her, but she was too scared and bolted if they got near. They posted trying to find her owners and get her help.

Molly has been out in the cold and wet weather for quite some time, she was cold, hungry and on the lookout for food.

Yesterday she went onto a property where she found a pawson she felt she could trust. This lovely lady posted that she had managed to get her to safety and was supported by the community to get her to a vet last night. She was scanned for a chip, but there wasn’t one, there was also no collar.

Her rescuer wants to do everything she can to help Molly, but she needed help. Our Team reached out to her rescuer and offered to support them both to ensure Molly gets everything she needs. This help was accepted, Molly is in foster with her rescuer and is now an APS Woof 😍

Today Molly saw our vets, she was vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and has been scheduled for surgery this week. Molly’s face and nose will take time and ongoing vet care to give her every chance at recovery and for her natural beauty to shine through even more.

Whilst Molly is in foster and we are all hopeful that she has already found her pawson, if that changes, we will suppawt Molly and her Foster Mum through everything they both need. Molly your future is so bright now, you will need Shades 🕶️😎

Molly was very happy with the care package she received at APS today 😛 She left with a pretty pink collar and lead, a warm coat, all the yum yums a hungry girl could wish for and of course she left with sensitive biscuits to help her system get used to regular quality meals 👅

2 years and 3 months ago we were sent a video by Rangers of a dog they had in their care that they did not hold hopes of getting to rescue. He was terrified and they were worried that euthanasia would be their only option. We immediately put our hands up and said we would take him. Elliott came to us and settled in well at APS and made so many friends…..but he also had his favourites! Our team have loved him for 827 days and then the MAGIC happened, Elliott stole the heart of Leisa who has adopted from us 3 times over the years! So many happy tears were spilled over the weekend when Elliott was adopted 🎉😍 Some come in to us and check out quickly and some stay longer, but everyone of them are special to our Team. Here is some of Elliott’s time with us and him with some of his favourite people. This is why we do what we do ♥️ 🐾

🐈 It's Ginger Cat Appreciation Day! 🐈

Ginger cats are known for being adorable, loving snuggles, and starring in funny cat videos for their crazy shenanigans. Show us your orange kitties in the comments, ex-APS or otherwise, and we'll show you ours!

Danny! 💫
A fluffy 1 year old with fur softer than clouds, Danny's favourite thing in the world is a warm, comfy lap! He's very playful and energetic also, so would do well with someone who can give him lots of enrichment and stimulation! Danny's not a huge fan of other cats or young kids, and would prefer to be the sole baby in his home.

Chibi! 🔥
Chibi is a ginger whirlwind of snuggles and chaos! He would love to go home with someone who has the time to play with him lots and tire him out, with a comfy lap for him to rest in afterwards. Because of his boisterous nature, Chibi should be an only cat - however, if you've got a kitty that can handle his sass, we can talk about making exceptions!
We're still looking for the best munchies for Chibi's tummy, so he isn't ready to go home just yet - but he'd love to meet anyone who thinks that he would be the perfect fit for their home!

Ziggy! 🍊
Ziggy is another fluffy boy with supremely soft fur! He's the quietest of our ginger bunch, generally preferring to keep to himself and snooze the day away. Ziggy can be a bit shy when first meeting someone, but he's an absolute sweetheart when he gets to know someone! He needs a quiet, patient home that he can slowly get comfortable in to maximize his snuggly potential.

*Kangaroo/Fish base treats (or any chicken-free treats for our allergy prone dogs)
*Schmackos

🌸 Perri 🌼
A gorgeous torbie girl whose favourite pastime is to nap. When she first meets someone, she's quite shy, but once she gets to know you she will never pass up a good ol' chin scratch! She also loves to play - it's a great way to grow your bond with her. Perri would love a quiet home with a friendly cat sibling that can help her confidence blossom! She'll also need pawrents who are willing to be patient in order to let her true, purry nature shine through.

🚀 Buzz ⚡
Buzz, like Perri, is on the shyer side. But there's a clear way to his heart: food! 😋 This stunning tabby boy goes crazy for his lunch - it gets his purr motor rumbling instantly! Buzz is also very playful, although it might take some time for his inner kitten to shine. Like Perri, he'll need a quiet home that is prepared to give him patience and love while he comes out of his shell.

🐯 Chibi 💗

🐈‍⬛ Ellie 💛
Just under a year old, Ellie has a motor that is constantly rumbling! She's sweet, cuddly, playful, energetic - what more could you want in a kitty best friend? She loves to jump and climb, so she'd love a nice big cat tree - or even a wall of cat shelves! While Ellie doesn't get along super well with cats or dogs, she's happy to hang out with kids.

🐈‍⬛ Tess 💜
Tess has had some difficulty adjusting to the shelter - she spent the first few weeks entirely shut down, but now she's decided she's ready to find her new home! Tess is the kind of girl who'll always greet you at the door, happy you're home - or, at least, happy you're there to give her some food! 😉

🐈‍⬛ Darci 💚
Unfortunately, Darci has been at APS for a good few months. Because he's a bit nervous, he doesn't stand out very well, even when he tries to show off his stunning smoky coat, beautiful flecked eyes, and his gorgeous snugglebug personality. Darci is the sweetest, gentlest boy - he would prefer a quieter home, that knows he'll need some time to get comfortable, but once he does - your lap will never be unoccupied!

🦁Happy World Lion Day from our two resident black and white lions, Darci and Mushu! 🦁

Much like International Tiger Day, World Lion Day was created to raise awareness for lion conservation needs. While some lion populations are slowly recovering, others are still in decline, but many organizations across the world are working their magic to help them get back on their feet!

Our cat team at APS is working to get back on our feet as well and reopen - Darci and Mushu will be waiting patiently to meet you all, and who knows? Maybe one of these little lions will end up coming home with you! ❤️

😺Sunda has something to say - happy International Cat Day!😻

On this day, keep APS and all the other hard-working cat shelters in your thoughts, and consider adopting or donating to help us keep caring for all the homeless cats.

While our cat section is (unfortunately) still closed, we are still accepting donations, and working hard to open back up so you can meet all of our beautiful residents!

And although this day is technically for cats, don't forget that our dog section is still open, with so many gorgeous dogs waiting to find their furever home!
