Things have been really RUFF lately in rescue. There are so many animals needing help and APS are FULL. We need to make sure we can continue to provide for the animals currently in our care and where possible, to help those animals in need currently waiting for a life line.

Can you please help? The cost of a morning coffee โ˜•๏ธ would make a huge difference to us and would be a tax deductible donation for you.

Your suppawt of our Team doing the APS 2026 Sleepout would be greatly appreciated.

Our Dog ๐Ÿถ & Cat ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ› Teams have joined forces this year for the first time and will be giving up their warm beds to spend a night sleeping in either a kennel with the resident dog or in our cattery where they will be the subjected to cats climbing into their sleeping bags or wrapping themselves around their head ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿพ

This has historically been our largest fundraiser each year, we have been doing this for 13 years. In fairness, SLEEP ๐Ÿ˜ด is the last thing that happens, but it is a way for our Team to show their love ๐Ÿ’– and commitment to the dogs and cats in our care.

Please help us to help the animals who may not currently have loving families and warm homes, we need your suppawt to care for them until we can find them their Furever home.

It is with the heaviest hearts, but minds filled with the most beautiful memories, that we share some incredibly sad news. Our special boy, Taco, has peacefully gained his angel wings. His remarkable journey reached its gentle conclusion on Tuesday, as he passed away in the arms of his devoted foster mother, fully aware of just how much he was adored.

Taco was just an 8-month-old pup from a rural pound when he first came to us, and our hearts completely broke when he was diagnosed with terminal congenital heart failure. We were told we might only have 6 to 12 short months with him. Our desperate mission back then was simple: ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐š ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐š ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ž๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฐ๐ก๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐ก๐ž ๐ก๐š๐ ๐ฅ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ญ.

Then came Helen and Ady ๐ŸŒŸ

They opened their hearts and their home to a pup with an uncertain future, and what followed was nothing short of a miracle. Taco didnโ€™t just survive; ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ.

Thanks to Helen and Ady, Taco lived a life larger and brighter than anyone could have ever dreamed. He became a seasoned adventurer, a champion snuggler, and a local celebrity. His days were packed with:

๐Ÿ•๏ธ ๐„๐ฉ๐ข๐œ ๐œ๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ and exploring the great outdoors.
โ˜• ๐‚๐š๐Ÿ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ญ visits where he charmed everyone he met.
๐Ÿ–๏ธ ๐๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก ๐๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ, ๐ฌ๐ง๐ข๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ฒ ๐›๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก ๐ฐ๐š๐ฅ๐ค๐ฌ, and endless car rides.
๐Ÿงธ ๐”๐ง๐œ๐จ๐ง๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž, endless treats, and a million "bestest boy" reminders.

Everyone who crossed paths with Taco fell completely in love with his beautiful nature and infectious smile. He brought pure joy to the world, and in return, the world gave him its very best.

They say love can move mountains, and Taco is living proof. Despite a heartbreaking prognosis, ๐“๐š๐œ๐จ ๐›๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ง ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฌ after his diagnosis. He beat every single statistic, powered by nothing but the strength of his own resilient spirit and the unconditional love of his incredible foster parents.

Our first story begins with a mysterious young ladyโ€ฆ

Over the coming days, her story will unfold โ€” her personality, her journey, and yesโ€ฆ whispers of those who have taken a particular interest in her.
