✨️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY ✨️
Veterinarian, Dr Emma.
Emma joined our team in 2021 after graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Since then, she has continued to grow into a highly capable and trusted veterinarian within our team.
Originally from Sydney, Emma made the move to the South Coast to enjoy the variety of mixed practice work — along with the added bonus of beach days on her time off.
Emma has a strong interest in internal medicine and has continued to build her knowledge through further study in this area.
Emma is known for her dedication and thorough approach to her work.
She consistently brings a high level of care and attention to detail to her cases, and plays an important role in supporting the development of our clinic’s Standards of Care and protocols — helping to improve consistency and outcomes for both our patients and clients.
Let’s get to know her a little better…
WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO BECOME A VETERINARIAN?
It was the classic childhood dream. The mix of science and my love for animals seemed like a great way to spend the rest of my life working.
WHAT ANIMALS DO YOU CURRENTLY HAVE?
I have a Border Collie called Theodore. We enjoy dog sports together, specifically flyball (basically drag racing for dogs!).
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO ON A DAY OFF ON THE SOUTH COAST?
I enjoy my days off either training with Theo, going for a bush walk in the national parks, or spending time at one of the many beaches.
WHAT VETERINARY TOOL WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?
I would be a cystotomy spoon as it's a very versatile instrument with lots of different uses than what it’s named for.
