Another fun year at DJWTS 2026. Not our year in the scores or placings but we are really proud of the 3 homebred horses we took, and the way they dealt with a big atmosphere and big event.

We had a great time spent with great people. Our little rose garden oasis over at the back portables was a beautiful spot to be, full of really lovely, friendly, supportive people. It was super to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones as well.

Huge thanks to Kristin Brennan for stepping in last minute to ride Marconi and Santa-Rita in the 5 year and 6 year old classes. Always lovely to have help from Jess, Mandy and Karen and thanks to Lucy Thorman for all your help with Safira leading up to and at the event.

Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia foal presentation day is always an exciting day for us. This year we presented 4 foals for 2 gold and 2 silver awards, 2 mares for classification, and our first ever mare families as well.

What a week. We always love Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia Assessment Tour time but this year was extra special because we took 2 of our mares, Springside Santa-Rita (Sir Donnerhall (IFS) x Londongirl (IMP) (Londonderry x Santini) and Springside Safira (Stedinger (IMP) x Estrada (IMP) (Zack x De Niro) to their and and our first ever Hanoverian Mare Performance Test. We had a great day, learnt lots, thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by lovely horses and people, and came home with amazing outcomes, great scores and fantastic feedback.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped us out, Kristin Brennan for riding Springside Santa-Rita, especially last minute, Jessica Sharp, Mandy and Lynne for their help on the day, Andy for riding Springside Safira, the HHSA crew for a wonderfully run day, Cathy at Quiet Oak Performance Horses for a great venue, Katie Holder-Vale and Kaitlin Colless for assessing, and Lucy Thorman for test riding. It was great to see our horses ridden in this environment by someone else. We can’t wait for our next batch of mares to be ready for the next Mare Performance Test.

Big weekend for Springside Horses in competition arenas around Australia.

On Saturday we took our 4yo Springside Safira (Stedinger (IMP) x Estrada (IMP) (Zack x De Niro) out to the Plenty Valley Dressage Club Day on Saturday for her first ever outing and first attempt at 4 year olds for a 7th place on 78.6. Ridden by Andy.

At the same competition Clare Porz and her lovely Springside Isla (Ibiza (IFS) x Bloomfield Verily (Versace (IMP) x Aachimedes) had a win in the Novice 2.1 on a 69.423%. Amazing results.

On the Sunday, back at Werribee for Victorian Dressage Club Dressage Day, Springside Isla and Clare Porz first again, this time in the Novice 2.2 on a 73.126%. And our Springside Serafina and Andy in the 4 year old for a 3rd on 84.2%.

Also at the Victorian Dressage Club was our Springside Marconi (Morricone (IFS) x Samsara Hit (IMP) (Sandro Hit x Godehard), beautifully ridden by Kristin Brennan in the 6 year old for a 70.6% after only 2 rides together.

In NSW at Willinga Park for the EBM Dressage by the Sea CDI 2026 saw one of the first horses we bred, Springside Eddison (Doktor Royal (IMP) x Estrada (IMP) (Zack x De Niro) out competing with his owner Sarah Kassulke. Sarah and Eddison achieved great scores and placings in both the Motion Equine Advanced and Rockwell Information Services Medium classes.

Well done to everyone! Huge thanks to everyone at the WPVDC and VDC clubs for 2 amazing competitions, to Kristin Brennan for riding our Carlo at such short notice and to everyone, especially Mandy and Jessica Sharp, who helped us out over a very big weekend.

- Pacific Vet Equine breeding mount. A few years old but hasn’t had much use. Comes with 22” Colorado AV, spare balistic cover, 2 storm covers and spare door plug. Will need to purchase a new mounting pole from Pacific Vet (around $100 for concrete-in type). $4110 new. For Sale for $2,500

Every year we look forward to welcoming the HHSA Tour to our property. This year we presented 3 foals to receive 2 silver awards (Springside Sorensen and Springside Escalera) and 1 gold (Springside Sejima).

We also presented two 4 year old mares, Springside Sorrento and Springside Santa- Rita for their Mare Classification, both scoring 8’s making them Premium Mare Candidates and eligible for mare Performance Testing.

We are always grateful to the assessors and volunteers who make the tours happen. We had a great day with this years assessor, Meg Williams, who was really enthusiastic and keen to share her knowledge. Thanks also to Karen Burge for coming out and being on ‘camera duty’ and watching her beautiful c**t receive his Silver Award.
