“How hard can it be to work cats on stage with a live audience while talking about behaviour?” 🐾🎤

Well… imagine trying to deliver an educational talk while:
• One cat wants snacks immediately
• Another is climbing your shoulder
• Sir Dobby is stealing the spotlight
• Someone in the crowd squeals “OH MY GOD A NAKED CAT”
• And Pickle the Siberian is busy committing emotional support crimes backstage

But behind the chaos is actually years of training, trust, and careful exposure work.

Stage cats are not forced performers. They’re cats who have been gradually conditioned to feel safe and confident around:
✔ Loud noises
✔ Crowds
✔ Travel
✔ Handling
✔ Strange environments
✔ Lights and movement

Everything we do is based around choice, confidence, and positive reinforcement. If a cat says “no,” we listen.

The biggest thing people learn watching our shows?
Cats are far more intelligent, trainable, and emotionally aware than most people realise. ❤️🐾

3 mistakes people make introducing cats 🐾⚠️

Introducing cats is NOT a “put them together and hope for the best” situation. A bad introduction can create weeks, months — sometimes years — of tension.

The 3 biggest mistakes people make:

❌ Moving too fast
Most introductions fail because humans rush. Cats need time to adjust to new smells, sounds, and routines before face-to-face interaction.

❌ Forcing interactions
Holding cats near each other, trapping them in rooms together, or “making them work it out” often creates fear and negative associations.

❌ Ignoring resource competition
One litter tray, one food bowl, one bed… instant tension. Cats need multiple safe spaces and resources to feel secure.

✅ Successful introductions are built on:
• Scent swapping
• Positive reinforcement
• Gradual exposure
• Separate safe zones
• Patience

The goal is not instant friendship.
The goal is helping both cats feel safe, calm, and confident around each other. ❤️
