hello 👋🏼 I thought I’d take a moment to reintroduce the team, as it’s been a while! 🩷

I’m Mica (pronounced Me-Sha) & I run Sunnies!
From sourcing materials & sewing, to scouting farms and abattoirs for the highest quality products & produce. Photography, advertising, social media, admin, inventory management, mailing & even hand delivering local parcels personally.. it’s safe to say I do it all 🤭

My partner J, is the eye for detail. He often helps finalise accessory prints, is the master of the Cricut (my pet peeve) & helps me design all our labels & website.
He keeps me sane & level headed in the mist of running a small business whilst also raising a small human 🤪

The small human is Marley, who is 4 years old now!
What started as a maternity leave passtime whilst he was still growing in my tummy, is now a thriving small business.. pretty crazy to look back & see all we’ve achieved in his lifetime 🥹

My passion for my floofy boys (Ralph and Forest) is what made Sunnies come to life!
We pride ourselves in feeding them well & providing them with the most healthy foods possible. That means, human grade, no nasties. Just 100% natural products - as it should be! ..& for anyone that’s known us since before Sunnies began, you’ll know the boys would always be rocking a bandana!

Initially, I supported other small businesses I loved, to stock a range of cute accessories, but when COVID hit, we could no longer source pet accessories.. so instead of giving up on the range, I went to Spotlight, I picked my first ever sewing machine & taught myself how to sew 🪡
At first it was daunting, but I’m so glad we took this route because now, I love the creativity I’ve unlocked within myself. I never knew I had a skill or talent until I found my passion for creating. Now I get to source all my own prints, customise my own range and see your fur babies rocking something I made with my own hands - and this makes my heart so full 🩷

Recently, we lost our precious Ralphie & my heart is shattered. But he lives on through the business and your love for him. He’s in every fibre of Sunnies, the logo, stickers website, advertisement.
His legacy will live on within Sunnies ☀️🕊️
