on Tuesday evening our world was turned upside down when our boy suddenly haemorrhaged with internal bleeding. He was rushed to emergency where he had blood work, X-rays, ultrasounds and other tests to determine what was wrong.
Before we could get a diagnosis, we had to rush him to Melbourne (3.5hours from home) for life saving blood & plasma transfusions.
Since then he’s had endless tests, been made stable but then declined more times than I can count.
Today, during his endoscopy he had another bleed and had to have another emergency blood transfusion and surgery which has finally revealed he most likely has Lymphoma 😔
We are awaiting biopsy results to 100% confirm, but the vets are fairly confident and we are absolutely shattered ❤️🩹
He is still critical and we are doing everything we can to get him through the night. Provided we can get him stable enough, he will need chemotherapy to try tackle the cancer, but that may only give him a few months 😔
Our hearts are shattered, but we are fighting to do everything we can to keep our boy as comfortable as possible ❤️🩹
We do have insurance, but with his medical bill being extremely high, we will still bear the brunt of a humongous bill even with it.
We can’t put a price on his life, and will do everything we can so he gets the best treatment possible ❤️🩹
