SUPER URGENT – Our Puppy Coordinator Robyn has many puppies she is currently caring for and she is in desperate need of the following things if any kind people can help as nearly all of her supplies are depleted –

- My dog puppy tin food (puppies seem to tolerate this food much better than the other brands)

- Cartons of lactose free puppy milk (The ones from the supermarket are great)

- Sheets and towels (No need for blankets as we have plenty)

We have food donation bins in various locations which are listed below but if you live local and can drop off items to Robyn could you please give her a call for the address in Glendale as she is urgently needing all of these items especially the puppy food. Dog Rescue Newcastle currently more than 100 dogs and puppies in foster carer and we are in need of dog and puppy biscuits and tin food. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We gratefully accept all dog and cat supplies such as tinned or dry dog, puppy, cat or kitten food, all wormers, flea treatments, dog shampoo, puppy milk, etc. Also, new or used collars (no choker chains), leads, harnesses, and dog coats.

If your item won't fit in the bin, or is too valuable, or you don't have a donation bin near you, please send us a Facebook message or an email to [email protected] telling us where you are and we'll reply with a nearer drop off point. If you can't deliver to us, we may be able to arrange pick up from you.

We are working to get more donation bins in more locations. If you are handy with tools and would like to make one for us, please send an email to [email protected] and we can send you instructions on how to make them. Thank you very much.

Piper is looking for a family to love.

On trial 3/05/16

Meet Piper! Piper is a 10-week-old Australian Cattle Dog x puppy. Piper has a sweet, loveable and adventurous personality. She is incredibly affectionate and just wants to do everything by your side.
Piper came into DRN care at just 5 weeks old with her siblings Pearl, Chase and Chester. She also lives with three other foster siblings; two Cattle dogs and a Border Collie who is she is also very affectionate towards.

Piper will need to have access to both indoors and outdoors as she is currently sleeping inside where she is most comfortable.

She will also need to be walked every day as she is incredibly active and loves to explore and learn.
Due to the nature of her breed, Piper will need to go a home with 6ft fences and preferably someone who has experience with this active and intelligent breed.

Like some Cattle Dogs, Piper was born with a stumpy little half tail. It affects her in no way, but it does add to her adorable nature when she wag’s it that little bit more than the other full-tailed siblings.

Piper loves to play with her squeaky newspaper and balls. She absolutely adores the company of her other siblings and would thrive in a home where there is another dog.
Typically, Piper is often found running around in the big yard and adventuring around with her siblings.

Piper is not yet trained in any way, so she will require someone with experience to teach her good manners. Puppy preschool is always recommended to get a head start on training and to help strengthen the bond between her and her new forever family.

It is also a big plus if you already have a well-mannered dog as a friend, teacher and playmate. If this is not the case, she will need to go to a home where someone is home most of the time as she is still very young and can’t be kept alone for long periods of time.

Piper is currently enjoying a diet of dry food, mince and brisket bones or chicken wings and would enjoy to have that continued in her forever home.
