On Tuesday afternoon I got to meet sweet Koa, AKA Lady... and what a lady she is! I got her microchipped in her own home and she was very relaxed throughout the process. She shares her palace with another cat and two gorgeous doggo's. It was so sweet to watch them all interact together, playing and cleaning one another!

Meet Maui!
Maui needs a new place to call home and would love to sleep on your bed if you'll have him!

He is approximately 12 years old, microchipped, desexed, inside/outside cat but is litter tray trained.

Maui can be quite timid but once he is comfortable he is a very affectionate boy. He has never really had anything to do with other dogs or cats, however, he grew up with other cats.

Originally from Making a Difference Cat Rescue when he was 5. Unfortunately his owners need to find Maui a new home as they going travelling for an extended period.

Feel free to share to help spread the word. Maui may be an older boy but he has plenty of snuggles and love to give to his new family 😻

I went for a nice little drive out to Boston today to microchip eleven cheeky Australian Kelpie puppies.

Meet Elizabeth Taylor, an older lady who I got to meet today. Some of you may have seen her sweet face on social media already, but she was found by the Council wandering in Cummins and sadly, no one has come forward to claim her!

I reached out and offered to microchip her free of charge so that in future her fur parents can be contacted if she is ever found wandering again.

If she is not claimed in another week or so, she will be going to a new family and they will have peace of mind knowing she is permanently identifiable by her newly implanted microchip.

This is why microchipping is so important, she would have been home by now if she was microchipped earlier.

Thank you to Sharon for reaching out and accepting my offer to microchip this sweet old lady. I hope she can find a nice place for her retirement if she is not claimed 🥰

Today I got to meet Wattle, the Mini Fox Terrier... mini in size but mighty in attitude. She did not like me intruding on her safe space at home (understandable!!) but she still let me microchip her and was glad to see me leave 😂

This afternoon I took a scenic drive out to Poonindie (at no extra cost) to microchip Milly the Shih Tzu x Border Collie.

As well as being freaking adorable, she is one very well behaved pup!

Extreme heat is forecast. Please take extra care with your animals:

• Keep pets indoors where possible
• Ensure constant access to fresh, cool water (multiple bowls if needed)
• Avoid walking dogs on hot ground — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws
• Never leave animals in cars, even for a short time

🐰 Rabbits & chooks are especially heat-sensitive:
• Provide shade and good airflow
• Use misting or a sprinkler on the ground for chickens (avoid soaking)
• Frozen water bottles, ice bricks, or chilled tiles can help animals cool themselves

⚠️ Signs of heat stress include excessive panting, lethargy, drooling, collapse or weakness.
If you’re concerned your pet may be overheating, please contact the clinic promptly. 🐾
