Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park (Previously Peel Zoo) is a boutique, hands-on zoo, in a lush setting on the banks of the Murray River. What makes Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park really unique is the ‘hands-on experience’ you get here. Hand feed the animals, hold a snake, pat a rufous bettong, tickle a ferret... There are well over 200 species of birds and animals that will capture your i

magination: koalas, wombats, bettongs, exotic birds, reptiles, spotted quolls, possums, owls... The huge walk-through aviary and Tasmanian Devils are star attractions. Bring a hamper and take advantage of our FREE BBQ facilities. Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park is an awesome location for school camps, excursions, and children’s parties. Their new nocturnal tours are truly amazing. And if you can’t make it to the Zoo, ask about ourZoo2U mobile wildlife display. Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park is only 20 minutes from Mandurah and 1 hour from Perth. It’s just off Pinjarra Road, behind the Pinjarra Golf Club. The Zoo is open daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm weekdays, and 9:00am to 5:00pm weekends, public and school holidays.

🌿 Today we join the world in mourning the loss of a truly remarkable woman.

Dr. Jane Goodall dedicated her life to understanding, protecting, and speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. Through her groundbreaking work with chimpanzees and tireless advocacy for wildlife and conservation, she inspired generations to care more deeply for the natural world.

Her legacy reminds us why zoos and conservation parks exist — to educate, to protect, and to connect people with the beauty and importance of wildlife.

From all of us here at Ranger Redz Zoo, we say thank you, Dr. Goodall, for showing humanity how much we share with the creatures of this Earth. Your light will continue to guide conservationists and animal lovers everywhere. 💚

Koalas have fingerprints so eerily similar to humans that even forensic experts struggle to tell them apart under a microscope. Unique among marsupials, these ridges evolved independently to help grip branches, an uncanny example of convergent evolution. So precise are their prints, they could hypothetically confuse a crime scene, proving nature sometimes reuses its best designs across species.

To the former keepers whose boots might be hung up but whose hearts are still in the game—we remember you.

And to the future keepers chasing a dream fueled by curiosity, compassion, and courage—we believe in you.

Zookeeping isn’t just a job. It’s a calling.
One filled with muddy boots, sleepless nights, joyful breakthroughs, and the kind of quiet dedication that rarely makes the headlines but changes lives every single day.

We know it’s not always glamorous.
We know there are moments when you’re exhausted, unseen, or grieving the animals you’ve loved and lost.
But through it all, your love for wildlife, education, and conservation never wavers.

Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park was officially renamed from the Peel Zoo on the 1st of August 2020 following a change of ownership in September 2019.
