Today our furry angels enjoyed a gentle stroll through the forest together, followed by a treat hunt in our Sensory Garden. They were hunting for emu treats from .bydrwill they were scattered amongst aromatic mint and basil herbs. It smelt divine. 🥰

It has been brought to our attention that fake pages and groups are circulating online, advertising dogs for adoption that may not be legitimately available.

Sadly, due to their nature and popularity, Cavaliers are often used to attract interest from unsuspecting adopters.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to ensure they are engaging with legitimate and reputable rescue organisations.

🚩 Some warning signs to be aware of:
• Requests for large upfront “adoption fees”
• Payment asked for before any application, interview, or meet and greet
• Communication limited to WhatsApp or Messenger only
• Claims that dogs can be “shipped” for a fee

Reputable rescues will always prioritise the welfare of their dogs and follow a thorough, transparent adoption process.

✅ At Cavalier Rescue QLD, and other responsible rescues:
• We do not request payment upfront
• You will always meet the dog (and us) as part of the process
• We do not conduct adoptions via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger
• We follow a detailed process including applications, conversations, and checks
• We are committed to ensuring every dog is matched with a safe and suitable home

If you are ever unsure, we’re always happy to confirm whether you are speaking with us.

Please take care when engaging with posts offering quick or “guaranteed” adoptions — if something feels too good to be true, it’s worth taking a closer look.

Gorgeous Ruby Rose. ❤️🥰❤️

Ruby Rose has the gentlest soul and the most loving, caring nature that we have ever seen.

We currently have a very timid ex-breeding Cavalier staying with us who is still frightened and unsure of the world around her. From the moment she arrived, Ruby Rose instinctively took her under her wing. She has patiently shown her how to simply be a dog again. She has comforted her with cuddles, sleeping beside her each night so she never feels alone, and quietly watching over her every step of the way.

Witnessing such pure compassion and nurturing from one dog to another has been incredibly moving. Dogs, especially Cavaliers, truly are extraordinary creatures.
