This was the 2nd groom with Gordon the Medium Groodle.

He's becoming a little more familiar with me, the grooming process, and his surroundings.

Look at that lovely sheen on Gordon's coat! 🌟

Gratitude post ... I am grateful that clients travel so far to bring their furry family to me for grooming.

This week we had Teddy, from the east/hills, and Teddy from the northern suburbs - both over a 20km drive from me!

Both Teddy (the Schnauzer) and Teddy (the Labradoodle) are a delight 😊

Puppy adorable! Mini Labradoodle Puppy "Coco" was in for her very first groom. 🥰

Nothing drastic ... a big warm bath, blow-dry (which she handled very well), a good brush - and then trimming of her eyes, feet (including paw pads), nails, and hygiene area 🐾

It was very hard not to spend the time just on cuddles and kisses, such a smoochy pup!

For a first-timer, at 14 weeks - Coco was a superstar ✨️ Her owners are prepared to do lots of brushing, especially as pup's little muzzle and legs get knotty!

Grooming pack, ideal for Oodles! 🐾

Next time you come in for a groom, grab one of these packs to help keep your pooch - free of tangles, slobber, and ocular discharge (aka crusty eyes).

Included in a handy carry bag:

• large long pin slicker brush; or
• medium/soft slicker brush

• 2 x microfibre cloths
• medium grooming comb
• detangler spray
• EBR (eye boogie remover!)
• handy carry bag

Once you've sprayed your dog's coat with the detangler, then the slicker brush is ideal for line-brushing. After your hard work - you should be able to run the metal comb through their hair.

Microfibre cloths - one for wiping their slobbery faces after eating, and one for drying their feet and paws after their morning walk (or wiping whichever body part needs it).

EBR (eye boogie remover) ... technically called rheum which is the dried crusty build-up in the inner corner of their eyes. This can be carefully removed (once moistened) with your little plastic comb. 👀

All done! 💚 Doing the above grooming at-home is great for bonding time, makes your dog more comfortable in-between regular grooming appointments, 🤎 and lessens the likelihood of developing the dreaded mats.

Another great thing about dog grooming from home ... I get to bump into/catch up with old (but young) work friends from such a long time ago!

Lola the Labradoodle is a much loved family member, who had a few knots to sort out and had a general freshen up 🖤

Milo is a Toy Cavoodle. (In the UK, known as Cavipoos!) He is on an 8 weekly grooming schedule and his coat always comes up a treat!

Milo is lovingly brushed at home, and even though he's only around 8 months - he is getting used to his grooming routine, and stays quite still. Good boy Milo 🐕👌
