It’s truly the perfect Christmas miracle that our last chicks found their forever home together just in time for the holidays. 🎄🐣
Knowing that this brother and sister pair will get to stay side-by-side makes the news even more special. Bonded pairs share a unique connection, and seeing them transition into a loving home together is so heartwarming.

We love seeing how happy and loved these chicks are, thank you Josie and family for sharing these memories with us. 💕🥰

Bath time ! ☀️🌈

The weather is starting to heat up ! And is the perfect time to encourage water play for our birds.

There are a variety of ways you can try this:

1. Bird baths (keep water level shallow)
2. Spray bottle (always use fresh water
3. Shower or laundry sink (not kitchen sinks)
4. Wetting a big bunch of lettuce, celery or parsley plants etc - budgies will flutter amongst it for a gentle bathing experience. 🥰

We planted two different varieties of baby spinach about 8 months ago and they’re finally thriving !
Our birds love fresh greens, and it’s worked out to be more affordable compared to travelling back and forth to the shops each week.

Celery, parsley, mint, and rosemary have been another option of ours In the past, but it’s always good to try different greens. Trying to get the kids to eat their greens, well, not so easy …. 🤪

Slowly but surely we grow to love the new and fresh flavours.

This is kiwi fruit, 🥝! And so far they have taken a liking to it. Packed full of vitamin C to help boost their immune system and respiratory health.

Keeping fruit as snacks is a good option, as fruits are high in sugar, leading to weight gain in birds who do not have opportunities to fly around daily. Over time obesity can lead to poor cardiac health and early death 🥺.

I like to give my birds fresh fruit twice a week. 🥰
