Been a crazy few weeks 🤭

When I first met this little dude back in October, I knew we had a journey ahead of us.

At just 5 months old, he was fearful of everything — people, dogs, birds… anything within a few hundred square metres (I used to joke he was reactive to the idea of a trigger 🤣).

While genetics played a role in his reactivity, conflicting advice from everyone and their mum — plus attending a big box puppy class where staff weren’t equipped to support a dog as fearful as him — really set him back.

So we started small.

Confidence on the front porch.
Then the front yard.
Then quiet local parks.

And now? We’re regularly working at a huge, busy park — with wins every single session.

Helping dogs build confidence is my favourite part of this work. Watching them step out of their shell, learn to trust their handler, and understand they can choose to walk away from uncomfy situations is just the best feeling 🐾

Max! 🐾

This dude is so fun to work with, there isn't a single bad bone in his little body.

I was called in for the classic teenager behaviour; leash manners, excitement based reactivity, polishing his recall and proofing it around dogs.

He has made heaps of progres, even with just one session per fortnight! Max is proof you don't need to break the bank to have a well trained dog, as long as you're putting in the work!

🖤 Nero 🖤

Not to play favourites… but he is my favourite little guy 🫶

At Nero’s very first session, he was absolutely terrified of me. We spent the entire 45 minutes sitting on his front lawn, my back turned, gently tossing treats his way. He’s such a sensitive soul that any sudden movement would spook him and send him running—so from day one, we knew slow and steady was the only way.

Once he realised I was actually the fun lady who brings snacks, the switch flipped and he became my number one fan 🥹 Since then, it’s been win after win.

Our goals were reducing dog reactivity, walking nicely on lead with his brother, and improving house manners—and honestly, we’ve been smashing it out of the park.

Dogs he once tried to launch himself at? Now he has polite interactions and creates space when he’s uncomfortable. The screaming and scratching at the front door when I arrive? Gone. He now waits calmly inside while I come in like a gentleman.

To say I’m proud of this man is a massive understatement 🥰🖤
