Another litter on the ground! Mellow has had 4 healthy pups 2 male and 2 female. Would have liked and few more. These will be available at 8-10 weeks old after there vet check and first vaccination. I’ll be contacting who’s been waiting the longest first.

Well we finally got them on the ground! Only the 2nd litter of T&Ks John Wayne (Jdub) born in Australia. And we have 7 healthy pups. 4 female and 3 male, 2 males are red nose albino which is coming through from the Stetson and Jdub genetics. Can’t wait to see how these perform. Exciting times.

More exciting news, for those on our pup waiting list. Crittles Mellow was joined to Crittle’s Doug and is showing to be in pup.
Mellow has been a consistent producer of excellent hunting dogs and Doug is a young male I brought back from my (Mischief x Tassie) breeding, as he was too catchy on pigs for who originally brought him. He’s dam tough, rough and can get out there and find a pig, so he fits in well for me.
Once these out on the ground and healthy I will start contacting the people who have been waiting the longest and take deposits.

Finally! Our 2nd litter of T&Ks John Wayne is in Crittle’s Mischief and looks to be 6 pups in there. It’s been a long wait, but these should be exciting to work and see how they turn out. This litter will be the first in Australia for the Black Mouth Cur breed! A combination of the best BMCs Australia original bloodlines (Connie, Rose & Happy), Delises Stetson and T&Ks John Wayne. These pups will be retained by myself and Troy to work and pick out our keepers, some may be up for sale around 6-12 months.

I’ve listened to this podcast several times now and there is a lot of great takeaways from it. I believe we have worked our dogs as hard as possible, on rough cattle and pigs. We selected the line of females (Rose & Connie) and Crittle’s Trigger Happy that produced. I breed a lot of females young and worked there progeny as I needed those dogs for my work load. I didn’t think anything of it until I heard this from Clue Anderson and it makes sense now, why we have the dogs we have today.

A good listen if you are keen to know about some old school BMC bloodlines from a very respectable US dog man. Troy talked to Clue when we were in the investigative stage of importing our original dogs. Clue talking about working his BMC’s on rough cattle reminded me of how much fun it was with the early Curs I had on rough cattle at Glentana and Tipperary.
