It's with a heavy heart we must advise that we had to euthanise our beautiful Maui yesterday due to her deteriorating health, with most of our staff by her side. She shone a bright light in this practice since arriving here as an injured and abandoned cat way back in July 2008. To say she was a special cat would be an understatement. She was a mother to sick puppies and kittens, a friend to dogs big and small, always ready for a pat or a hug from staff or clients and particularly loved children and small fluffy dogs. She was a gentle and loving soul who will be incredibly missed and leave a big hole in the practice. She will be reunited with her old friend Tom, who passed away in March 2021.

A great concept they could implement in Bali hotels. From personal experience, hotels in Bali don't realise how much Australian visitors would appreciate a more caring approach to a street dog they looked after in their lobby. Instead, they can tend to respond to complaints from a few guests to move the dog on, which is sad. Maybe others have had a more more positive experience?

Maui, our much-loved and spoilt Innaloo Veterinary Hospital resident, turns 20 today. While she is not as spritely as usual the last couple of years, she still enjoys life, patrolling her domain in the waiting room between naps. We hope she continues being happy and healthy into the future despite a couple of inevitable health issues we are managing.
