Hi all,
With the current weather warnings, I would like to stress that safety is paramount!
I will remain open and operational this week unless it is unsafe to travel here or in case of a power outage.
I am happy for you all to leave your appointments as is and I will advise you if we need to reschedule your appointment due to any reason. Likewise, please feel free to let me know as late as the day of your appointment if you will not be attending. If you donβt feel safe driving please stay home with your fur babies! And remember, if itβs flooded, forget it!
On a similar note, please remember that dogs can be afraid of loud noises due to thunder, lightning, high winds and rain. Help your dog to stay calm during a storm by providing them a safe space, staying calm yourself and distracting your dog.
* Bring your dog inside along with food and water bowls.
* Supply long lasting activities like kongs or other treats and reward calm behaviour.
* A snug fitting shirt or wrap can help calm anxious dogs.
* Donβt tether dogs outside during a storm.
* Ensure their collars are on in case they escape your home/yard and that your microchip details are up to date.
Please stay up to date and stay safe!
Much love,
Sally xx
