I wanted to share this review as it’s a really disheartening read… it saddens me to the core of my heart!
I need to say why though.
This owner was desperate for someone who can take good care of his albino staffie, someone who really respects the owner’s wishes for his dog to be safe and really well cared for. I do meet and greets for a good reason not just for the dogs but also for the owners, I love building the relationships and I gave this owner a big fat chance just because my heart goes out for people to.
I charge him normal rates but Axel recieved very special and a lot of extra care because of his sensitive skin and personality. He wasn’t with any other dogs, not that he is aggressive, he is just strong and can get a bit overwhelmed, so he was in the separate play area. He was outside only until 10am in the morning and then let out at 3pm in the afternoon as per owner instruction. And even in those times I made sure he was still hanging out in the shade. Axel loved cuddles and if he wanted attention he would call out and I was there! Where was Axel between 10am and 3pm? Under the aircon, having the whole house to himself!
It was a taxing few days as I was between him and all my other furry friends on the other play area, running between 2 playgrounds got a bit tiring but it’s my passion and at least I knew his owner was at peace knowing Axel is having the best time and received the best special care!
Maybe I am jumping to conclusions, but he booked Axel in again for a long weekend and paid the full amount on the day he collected him. This showed me that the owner was very happy with our services?
Anyway, I called him back within an hour as I had checked my calendar and the dates he wanted to book we had a long planned family getaway so I had to cancel Axel’s visit and refunded him. He was understanding (apparently) but then I woke up to this review…
P.S - Axel you are a good boy and we all enjoyed having you 🤍
