Q - Is Mitzy's a shopfront or a private home?
A - The salon is situated in a private home and has everything that a shopfront salon would have - dog bath, dryers, grooming table, and a wide array of grooming equipment.
Q - Is Mitzy's clean?
A - Yes, the groomer consistently maintains a clean and hygienic space that includes grooming equipment being sanitised between dogs. Products used include F10 and Petway disinfectant.
Q - Is the salon and property fully insured?
A - Yes.
Q - How do I make an appointment?
A - Phone, email, FB messaging.
Q - Are all breeds and sizes catered for?
A - Yes, except extra large dogs.
A - Can I request a specific style for my dog?
A - Yes, most certainly. This can be dependant upon coat type and characteristics.
Q - How long will my dog take to groom?
A - As the groomer works alone this can vary from 1 hour to 5 hours and is also dependant upon your dog's breed and the service that is booked. A text message is sent to you when your dog is ready for pick-up.
Q - Does my dog need to be fully vaccinated and up to date with vaccinations?
A - Yes. Proof of this may be required.
Q - What if my dog has fleas?
A - A flea treatment will be applied, either spot on treatment or shampoo treatment and this will be included in the price of the groom.
Q - Is my dog given water and treats?
A - Yes. Any allergies will be discussed at drop off.
Q - How much will the groom cost?
A - Please see price list on pinned post. Price can vary based on coat condition and dog behaviour. You will be given an estimate at drop off.
Q - What products does the salon use?
A - Melanie Newman, Progroom, Underwater Dogs, Secret Weapon, Petway.
Q - Does the salon have an owner waiting area?
A - No, not egzctly. There is seating on front verendah of house however and you are welcome to use this.
Q - How do I pay for the service?
A - credit card, cash, bank transfer. Service must be paid for at time of appointment.
Q - What if I need to cancel the appointment?
A - Please give as much notice as possible, at least 24 hours is preferred so that the spot can be filled and the grooming schedule for the day is not impacted negatively.
