Once in our care, animals receive the basics of sterilisation, microchipping, vaccination and flea/worm treatment. They also receive any other required vet care. Funds are raised through adoption fees and donations so we rely on the generosity of the public to keep doing this life saving (volunteer) work. We truly appreciate your support! Professor Fuzz!
AVAILABLE NOW 😍

This big boy is just purr-fection.
How he hasn't been adopted yet is absolutely beyond me but maybe he's been waiting especially for YOU!

Fuzz is such a character and a gentleman. He's extremely confident, outgoing and social and will enthusiastically greet anyone new that he meets.

His motto is definitely that a stranger is just a friend he hasn't met yet. πŸ’œ

And maybe also that a stranger *might* bring snacks... preferably these Temptation brand treats, which he helped himself to and proceeded to rip open the bag when I was too slow πŸ˜…

Professor Fuzz has glorious soft fur that is a delight to touch.

He's a polite fellow who is litter trained and likes to sleep in his cosy bed.
He eats Fussy Cat brand grain free food as other brands don't agree with his belly πŸ’©

Fuzz has really been working on his socialisation over his many months in care and he's now shown that he is quite friendly with dogs as long as they can respect his space.
So, he can potentially live with a friendly and respectful canine πŸ•

AND in an exciting development, it has been adorable to watch him re-discover his very playful side as he runs around with some kittens 😻
Fuzz is a big, bossy, domineering boy so he's not a good choice to try and introduce to a home with an existing cat BUT he genuinely likes to run and play with kitten friends so he could potentially either be adopted with a kitten he already knows, or if you want to add a kitten in the future that is an option

Or, of course he can be your one and only feline friend and companion. πŸ’œ

Professor Fuzz really is big in every way, both physically and in personality.
He's such a great cat and will make a wonderful addition.

He's been waiting nearly 6 months to find his home - PLEASE keep sharing and message the page or email [email protected] to enquire

πŸ€΅πŸ•Ί Stunning ShayπŸ•ΊπŸ€΅β€οΈ

Dressed in his tux, ready for a very special occasion - meeting his new family! Could it be you that gorgeous 18 month old Shay is waiting for?

This incredibly fluffy fellow is just a delight.
He has recently come into care after turning up at a property seemingly out of nowhere. Shay was caught in a trap and was terrified and skittish when he arrived; he is still a shy guy but his super smoochy side has started to show through and he has found his voice!

Shay loves a chat, he mostly likes to remind me when it's time for breakfast though he's pretty polite about it really 😊

A slow and gentle approach is essential with Shay; he's head-shy and startles easily but recovers quickly and he truly does looove pats down his back and at the base of his tail especially.

Once he gets going, he spins around and around trying to get maximum pat coverage over his body 😍
It's adorable!
He does sometimes become a little overstimulated and gives little love bites, though this is primarily when he's anticipating being fed.

He's best suited to a home with a gentle family who can respect him and his space, showing him the kindness and patience he needs and deserves.

Shay appears unfazed by dogs and other cats 🐈 πŸ•πŸ’š so with appropriate introductions he can live with furry friends.

An indoor only home will suit Shay best. He's clean and litter trained and loves his food.
At the moment he's a little unsure about being brushed but getting him used to grooming will benefit his glorious coat as he matures.

At just $50 to adopt, he's a bargain for a lifetime of love and floofy cuddles.
Desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and tested negative to FIV/Felv.
Located in Northam but can be transported to Perth for adoption!

*Shay has mild cat flu at the moment and is a little snuffly. He's still bright and happy and not currently requiring medication.
He needs a warm cosy new home now more than ever!
If he requires any treatment, SAVA will cover any associated vet costs

A heartfelt thank you πŸ’œβ€οΈπŸ’œ

2 weeks ago, I shared the stories of some tragic cases of cats in care who sadly never made it to adoption, their lives cut short by illnesses without treatment.

Their care, diagnoses, treatment and ultimately their euthanasia, did not come cheap.

SO many of you donated funds to contribute to these costs.
We raised well over the $1800 needed for those boys specifically; in fact, thanks to your incredible generosity we raised almost enough to clear our pre-existing vet bills completely! πŸ₯°

Explaining how grateful we are - how thankful the animals in our care are - is not easily done.
Words cant readily say the amount of thanks that I want to share.

But, thank you thank you thank you!!!!
From the bottom of many hearts - thank you.

Your donations go directly towards paying vets, like our incredible affiliated clinics Forrestdale Vet Hospital and Swan Vet (huge thanks to both of them too).
A small percentage of donations also buy speciality food for animals with particular diet needs - including Rosie's puppies!

With vet bills that are often $10,000 or more each month, donations are something we need on an ongoing basis.
If you're in a position to set up a regular monthly donation, we would love that too.

It sounds like a cliche but it's true - all amounts add up!
Chipping in just a few dollars makes you part of something life changing.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone ❀️🌈

β€οΈπŸ–€Beautiful Macky aka Blackie! πŸ–€β€οΈ

This absolute stunner was first advertised back in February.

He was lucky enough to find an amazing home BUT after many weeks and a lot of work, sadly he just could not happily integrate with the existing kitties in the home so now he's back up for adoption - though he's looking to be the only cat, the king of your castle πŸ‘‘

He's now known as Macky and his diet has evolved a bit SO he is no longer requiring a raw food only diet and can happily enjoy a variety of foods!

Everything else still stands.
He's a total s***k and an absolute mega-smooch.
His coat is so soft and delightful.
He's so handsome.

Please consider offering Macky a magnificent home!

Who loves a black cat? πŸˆβ€β¬›
Whether you call them house panthers, or voids or no fancy name at all - there's no denying that sleek black cats are just stunning.

Blackie may lack creativity in his name but anything at all that he lacks there, he makes up for in purr-sonality!

This chunky young man is an absolute smooch-a-holic who has SO much love to give and cannot wait for a new family to receive it - could that be you?!

Blackie has been in care for 4 months now and the transformation he has unregistered in that time has been such a pleasure to witness - though it was hard fought!

He came into care in terrible condition - extremely underweight, infested with fleas and worms and suffering from cat flu and ringworm with patches of hair missing everywhere and his bones sticking out.

Blackie was terrified and though he didn't lash out, he definitely didn't want to be handled so examining and treating him was tricky.
It seemed like everything he ate gave him diarrhoea, so his appetite was up and down and giving him medicine in his food was not really viable.

He finally started to make improvements and has been thriving on a raw meat diet so his new family will need to continue this.

He has gained weight, fully resolved his flu symptoms and ringworm - though his coat is still a little patchy, he's absolutely thriving.

As he has gained his health, Blackie has also gained his smoocher status!
He gives head butts that are absolutely next level and just loves to be stroked and patted all over his body.

Now, he may be super friendly but Blackie was a street cat who has never had a home or family of his own πŸ’”
So, his new family are going to be absolutely changing the world for this beautiful boy by offering him a fresh start!

He is a bit nervous of new people and will likely be pretty shy at first in a brand new place - but we'll give you all the information and support you need to help him settle in and thrive!
With a bit of time, kindness and TLC he's going to be incredible!!

To my surprise, Blackie tested negative to FIV. Yay! 😁

He's also comfortable around social and easy going dogs. πŸ•

Blackie is now desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
He's available to adopt now for just $50.

πŸ’œπŸ’š Lovable Lester the smoochiest stress-head you ever shall find! πŸ˜…

Oh Lester!
This gorgeous boy is just so friendly - he loves people and pats and affection, he's good with kids, he's a real people cat. πŸˆπŸ’œπŸ₯°

Lester is SO keen to find a home with lots of love and stability.

Let me tell you Lester's story!
He came into care via the rangers, having been handed in and spending time in the pound because he family simply up and moved away, leaving him to fend for himself.

This is a sadly common story; some cats cope better with this experience than others. For Lester, this abandonment and turmoil deeply impacted him.
He's a tender hearted ❀️ boy who really feels everything in his very soul.

After coming into care, he was anxious and distressed, struggling to cope with the new environment.
He experienced vomiting and diarrhoea and lost a frightening amount of weight - he's a big cat, long and lanky and was already slender.
To make sure there was nothing else going on, Lester has been thoroughly examined and had blood tests etc - all of which came back clear, showing no FIV, no organ problems, no infections.
His diagnosis was stress and a broken heart πŸ’”

We've been working hard to try and help Lester feel more comfortable and safe.
Thankfully, he's gaining weight and has had no further gastro distress.

But he's still absolutely desperate for a home of his own.

Lester is friendly with dogs πŸ•
He is a bit hit and miss with other cats, so is probably best suited to being your only feline friend.

He truly adores people and will make a devoted and loving companion for anyone who can offer him consistency and kindness.

Lester is available to adopt for $50.
He's been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated ready to go.

Owner-assisted adoption

Beautiful Sammie is a gorgeous 2.5yr old girl with a lovely nature and good looks to boot 😍.

This girl, believed to have Siamese heritage, has been a much loved family member but unfortunately she is just not compatible with the other cats in her home so she's looking for a family where she will be the one and only feline queen πŸ‘‘

Sammie is described as an affectionate and loving snuggle bug πŸ’œ

She has grown up with two dogs and she adores them so with appropriate introductions, she should be able to live with dogs no worries - just no other cats please!

Sammie likes human company and connection so once she gets to know you, she will be a loyal and loving friend.
She has always lived indoors with access to a secure cat run which she loves so this would be her ideal set up in a new home too.

She is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations.
Sammie is located NOR in Perth metro area and is available to adopt for $50.

πŸ’œAVAILABLE NOWπŸ’œ
🎡 Itsy bitsy teeny weeny super special little Lilly πŸͺ·πŸŽ΅

Please meet 6 month old Lilly!
This adoption post has been a loong time coming; for a good portion of the past 6 months, I didn't think we would ever get to this point with this special girl but here we are!

Lilly is an incredibly active, high be energy, friendly, playful, interactive little girl.
She has been raised by the 6yr old in her foster home and is extremely comfortable around young kids, though she's more of a playful girl than a super snuggler/cuddler. The cuddles come when she's tired, but she's not the sort to be carried around all day long - there's way too much fun stuff to explore and play with!!

Lilly is great with other cats πŸ˜ΊπŸ’š
Especially others who want to play!

She's very comfortable around medium sized dogs πŸΆπŸ’š once appropriately introduced of course.

Lilly is used to living indoors only with access to a cat run so she would prefer an indoor home, an outdoor enclosure would be a bonus!

She has such a sweet little round face and adorable chubby cheeks πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—

Lilly came into care way back in mid December - yes, that's 6 months ago now!! πŸ™€
She arrived with her brother, just a couple of wee 6 week old babies from a farm
They were sassy little critters and they came with a heavy burden of fleas and worms.
Tragically despite all possible interventions and care, her brother was too weak and he was put to sleep because he wasn't responding to treatment.

Lilly cried and cried after losing her brother, heartbroken and lonely πŸ’”
And she was battling too!
Her worm burden challenged her guts to a significant degree and faecal sampling showed that she had 4 different bugs in her little digestive system.
She experienced diarrhoea that lasted for weeks and weeks despite all the medications and special diet she was receiving.

There were a lot of ups and downs and a few days that it didn't look like she was going to make it - but this girl is strong!

She also fought through cat flu and a brief bout of ringworm, in case there wasn't enough else going on!

Eventually her body grew stronger but so much diarrhoea had decreased her a**l tone and she had a lot of trouble with faecal incontinence.
Then, we took things too far the other way and she ended up spending time in hospital with constipation!!

That's a whole lotta p**p πŸ’© problems for one little kitty!!

Lilly is now functioning completely normally!
She is litter trained and is no longer experiencing any incontinence.
She eats a wet-food only diet of Fancy Feast and cooked chicken breast, which is maintaining her perfectly; as she continues to grow, she may be able to progressively adapt to a new diet but for now this is working perfectly.
She loves her food and eats 2-3 times a day.

We do not expect long term complications from her tricky beginnings, but her new family will obviously need to be aware of this history and willing to seek vet care for her if it's ever required.

Lilly is a nosy parker who wants to get into absolutely everything.
She's a huge character and a very special little girl who is going to bring extraordinary amounts of joy to her new family

We can't wait for the next chapter in her journey - if you think Lilly is the purr-fect kitty for you, please message the page or email [email protected]

She's available to adopt for the reduced fee of just $100.
She's now desexed, microchipped and vaccinated also.

πŸ’œπŸ™THANK YOUπŸ™πŸ’œ

We we SO grateful to receive a huge donation of cat food last week from the incredible team at ARC.
Boxes and boxes and boxes of food that will go straight where it's needed, into hungry tummies!

With extraordinary demand for more help and so many cats and kittens coming into care, it's hard to keep up and donations like this are truly what enables us to keep going.

Without this support, things would be scarily even more challenging than they already are.

Thank you to the ARC volunteers who make this possible and support so many organisations across the country; to the companies who generously donate the supplies and to our vollie Monika who packed her car to the roof!

Professor Fuzz (who is available to adopt right now!) is especially excited about the Temptations treats! In fact, while trying to get him set up for a photoshoot he couldn't wait and proceeded to grab a pack in his mouth and start making off with the whole lot! πŸ˜…
