*Kash*
Some people may have seen the review left on our page. We are posting our side of the story as well as the review.
When Kash first came into our care with another dog, they had been fighting, he was stressed, and unsure of the world around him. Life had clearly been a lot for this beautiful soul, and he carried every bit of that worry in his little body.
Kash needed to be desexed and then he joined a lovely experienced foster home, who helped him come out of his shell. He was spending time running around the yard and his favourite thing was chasing the water from the hose.
One photo was posted and later removed due to the concerns raised. One photo that didnt tell the whole story. So I have shared below a heap of Kash photos including the photo that had people concerned and even a couple of videos in the comments.
The review said Kash looked terrible, they said he had been underfed and his skin was in terrible condition.
Kash came in with his fur rough and loss of fur on his ears which is a sign of stress. Kash had his spine visible when he arrived.
Common reasons for weight loss in dogs:
Worms or parasites
Dental pain or mouth issues
Stomach/intestinal problems
Not enough calories or poor-quality food
Stress, anxiety or big routine changes
Illness like diabetes, kidney or liver disease
Cancer (especially in older dogs)
High energy working breeds burning more calories
He has been to the vet and put on a working dog diet, the vet wasnt concerned about other issues.
Kash has officially been adopted — and he’s already living his best couch potato life! From trembling and tense to stretching out on the couch, melting into cuddles, and soaking up every bit of love… this boy’s transformation has been incredible. The first photo is from today the last one was the one that raised concerns.
His new family adores him, and Kash has finally discovered what safety, comfort, and unconditional love truly feel like. 🛋️🤍
Thank you to everyone who followed his journey, shared his posts, and cheered him on. Dogs like Kash remind us exactly why rescue work matters.
The cages mentioned in the review are quarantine kennels which are essential for incoming dogs
so that they can be vaccinated and parasite treated before going near our own dogs or other rescues.
Enjoy those couch cuddles, sweet boy — you deserve every single one. 🐾💕
