Highly recommend Andre for all your dogs toys, Puppy Packs and probiotics…

Over the past 4 years, I have loved working with various dog clubs and shows created by the amazing network of Dogs Victoria . A few weeks ago, the Australian Shepherd Club of Victoria (ASCV) held their Double Ultimate Scent Work Trials and we jumped in to offer some prizes for the competitors, volunteers and judges.

So, what is Scent Work? Scent work is a sport where dog and handler teams must locate specific odours in different environments. The dog searches and indicates when they have found what they are looking for. The handler must be able to 'read' the dog and tell the judge where it is. All within a set time. 'Ultimate' is the highest level of this sport, where teams compete concurrently in at least 3 of the 4 different environments and locate between 3 and 10 odour sources (the actual amount is unknown). There are also a number of distractions included in the search areas, including toys, animal products, food and humans!

How many of the dog breeds do you know in this picture? Huge congratulations to all the entrants and thank you to everyone who sent through photos, with special thanks to Sarah Maree Scarce Scarce for including us in your event.
